the tiffany recast the mom recast is a prime example of what grinds my gears with tyler. the story continuations never make any sense.

I enjoy Madea when I was young, however I got tired of the similar comedy of each movies overtime.

The family dynamics with Lynn Whitfield were the best parts of Madeas Family Reunion. It’s actually my favorite of the Madea Cinematic Universe. Like it could’ve been a pretty good movie all on it’s own, if Tyler just paid more attention to it.

Do the Tyler Perry movies that are not Madea. Those are better stories overall, imo.

I think cinematically, Madea peaked in Family Reunion. And I’d like Big Happy Family more if I didn’t see the play the previous year.

I just realized Eugene Levi played essentially the same character with the same plot in two things -- a corporate guy who is victim to a ponsi scheme and he and his family have to move to a poor place and deal with wild characters (Schitts Creek)

Shockingly Tyler Perry's best movies arent Madea based. The Family That Preys and the first Why Did I Get Married are the only "good" ones in my opinion. Thats not saying much since his writing skills are still so basic level and predictable.
