Thanks for the great video, helped me decide! One small point - when installing the O ring it's recommended to use a silicone lubricant to keep it in shape for longer.

That does look amazing. Looks like they've been paying attention to other brands like Oase and made suitable improvements. Can always add an in line heater rather that have to have it in the filter itself.

Man im just getting back ino the hobby after about 10 years without a tank. Man the technology and simplicity of most things had come a long way this looks so much better of a system then my old clunky wet dry setup

I think product reviews are one of my favorite kinds of videos. Really enjoying following along with the fish room build. I have been considering a canister for some time to go on my 65 gallon cichlid tank but my bank account says I have to stick with hobs for now which is okay. Thanks for the great content.

I just replaced my AC with the Fluval 107 and I have to say I'm impressed with it so far. It's dead silent which is a big win for my tank seeing as it's display tank and my Axolotl seems happy.

My Fluval 406 just died 2 weeks ago, so I am currently running as backup a MARINELAND MAGNUM and a Ziss Bubbler on my 90 gallon aquarium. I like the way the baskets remove from the 407 as shown in your demo! Thank you John & Lisa for being such a great source of information.

You do know you need 1 kilo of media to every 100L of water to see the best results for the beneficial bacteria to see a full Cycle. Not telling you how to su k eggs or anything. Hope this helps the rest of you to.

@@spaceair1 they are one of the loudest things I've heard in my life when air runs through them but their completely silent when running normally.

I got an fx6 on my 120 and added a 307 with the new uv clarifier. Works great and I can’t hear neither of them running

Thanks for sharing the unboxing. I have a 206 and im glad to see they added a handle system for the trays. Having to pull the trays out one by one is the only real gripe I’ve had with it.

The gasket is separate because it's oiled; it's contained in its own bag. If they left it installed, it would dry up. Great video - bought one based on this.

I had a big one of these in my old tank. It was an absolute dream to use, so easy to maintain and oddly something I actually looked forwards to doing when running through tank maintenance. Was a sad day when I had to sell that tank off. Just wish they did little nano ones for my other tanks.

Hey John & Lisa; Long Long time listener and sometimes watcher. You have no idea how your live streams have kept my 16 hour drives from Florida to Pa or Md much more manageable. I definitely missed them while you were regrouping and focussing on you!!!! So glad your back and again last Thursday stream made the Friday drive so much less boring:) Huge fan of Fluval in all 13 of my tanks which is growing to 15 next month... I have 2 aquaclear 20 and a whisper 10 HOB filters on my jungle val, electric blue acara, 55 gal. I would love to FINALLY get rid of them and be able to have my first ever canister filter. We Love you guys, my daughter and I have learned so much. Keep it up!

Love Fluval canisters! I have an older 206 on my 55 South American tank but need an upgrade. Love the black intake tube. Looks like they made some nice upgrades to the filters. Cute cats!

I have always been scared to use a canister filter! I have watched so many videos on different types and it just confuses me to no end! This video has changed my mind! You made me understand how they work, very easy!!! That 407 series makes it to where people like me can't mess up!!! Great job KG Tropicals and Fluval!!! Thanks for the review. We don’t get as many helpful reviews in the aquarium hobby as we can hope for. I agree with putting a heater in it, if they did that then choosing which brand of canister to buy would be a whole lot easier! That 107 would be nice for nano tank.

I have the Fluval FX4... I love how easy it is to do water changes using the FX4. The Fluval 407 look like another exceptional product.. I totally agree Fluval is an awesome product....

Been using fluval 305 on my 75gal for the last 7yrs with no issues, recently started to make noise ,during cleaning it I broke the ceramic shaft, I decided to upgrade to the 407 but it doesn't fit under my stand & I have no room on the sides either, since my 305 has been so faithful I bought the repair kit instead for $45 and running like new even water flow has increased & no more noise, I used all the basket media from the 407, I'll be upgrading to a taller stand in few months and will install the 407 then . Love Fluval
