Que hay de la palabra "Coger," es decir entre Espana y LatinAmerica? Me parece un normal verbo en Espana como "Catch, grab a train, etc," pero un verbo malabrota en LatinAmerica. Ayudame porfa! Me encanta este video!

Yo también quiero saber más sobre este asunto. En otro canal, si recuerdo bien, algunos hispanohablantes decían que, en República Dominicana coger no tiene significado vulgar, pero en México sí. Un dominicano dijo eso, que una vez le dijo al padre de una niña que podía recogerla de la escuela. Pero el padre de la familia, que es mexicano, reaccionó negativamente porque el término quiere decir algo vulgar en español mexicano.

Muchas gracias por este video! Es un tema muy importante, porque si trata profundamente de un contexto cultural y nosostros que estamos aprendiendo el idioma normalmente no tenemos este senso de la "seriedad" de las palabras, si son normales o si son groserías. Creo que sería una excelente idea se hiciesen un par de videos más acerca de este tema.

Aprendo el idioma español y me parece que la connotación negativa de la palabra " madrazo" podría tener origen en la palabra "madrastra" que in English is step-mother y esa in fairy tales es una mala personage, a wicked person. "

In one video you used: “Podés repetirlo por favor”. Why did you not use “puedes” and from what tiempo is “Podés”?

Its a way to conjugate verbs in South American Spanish. Its only for the present tense second person singular (tú), however they have an alternate pronoun “vos” that is associated with this conjugation. The verb stem doesn’t change and the accent is pushed to the end. For example, vos hablás (hablar), vos tenés (tener), vos jugás (jugar) Also, “tú eres” becomes “vos sos”

He’s using what’s called voseo, a form of referring to the informal second person singular. Actually voseo is used in quite a few areas in South and Central America (explained here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voseo?wprov=sfti1# ) I think José uses it because he’s originally from Bolivia.

Vamos a tocar un tema al escuchar - upon hearing cada dos por tres - every second al fin y al cabo - after all ... no existe, tal qual, una regala.. "as such" Lo que vuelve muy dificil... = Lo que SE vuelve muy dificil ?? estamos apenas entablando amistad es que descuadra... stun, throws one off comulgar - take communion

Depende de la confianza que tengas con los invitados o anfitriones y del contexto. Por ejemplo, nunca lo diría en una comida de trabajo pero puede que lo diga entre amigos. Es una expresión muy coloquial.

La palabra, coger. Soy Mexico americano y para mi coger es algo diferente 😮. Coger-el acto coital o de sexo. Para los demás, coger- como agarrar. (To get)
