I'd like to commend Lewis for his in depth analysis. He's grown with each video and provided a lot of information such as recommending a sub, discussing the music he used and how the speaker sounded with each piece. Usually his cmments are very brief and he gives little or no supporting information for his opinion. Great job.

I bought a pair~. I tried many offer from spendor dynaudio focal atc. I cant have floorstanders, im running them with naim sn3 and ndx2 along with rel sub. Its a very long term system investment in enjoyment for me. Ive had them for about 4 months in a smaller family room, and they sound better all the time. I have no regrets whatsoever. I have had bowers and revels, and these blow rhem away. These are not just nearfield monitors.

How do they compare to the Acora book shelf

I use the TuneTots on the desk in my den to watch cat videos on KZfaq and listen to my fave singers, DJ Dead Mouse Five and Justin Beibers. I fill out the bass with 4 (four) Wilson Audio Thor's Hammer™ subs. (one in each corner to give the Tots a little lower end kick) I like them!

Don't doubt they are fine sounding speakers but the pricing? There's a well known Canadian company that produces isolation stands that are widely used in recording studios and have been integrated in home speakers such as PSB - the prices are nowhere near what Wilson is charging.

Why are the TuneTots supposed to be better than Wilson Audios own Duette bookshelf speakers?

Please try some Borresen bookshelf speakers. The lower tier versions are in the same price range as the Tune Tots. The upper tier are considerably higher in price.

Are there green Tunetot speakers?

I heard a pair, I was impressed to say the least.

Obviously, they're high quality. But a ruthless tell all comparo between these up against budget offerings like the two-ways from CSS (Creative Sound Solutions), or even Danny Richie's flagship two-ways... both being around $1k. Quality drivers, the finest crossover components... packaged into a nice two-way. At 15x the price, I'd seriously like to understand what difference ... if any, exists.

For the price of a ducati I can have a pair of bookshelf speakers and stands. Sounds like a bargain 🙄

If a added good subwoofer make them more equal to full range , it should take the strain off midrange right

Great video guys and very interesting haven't heard much about these small Wilson offerings. I'm lucky enough to own a set of Wilson Alexia's these days. I've owned watt puppy 7's and sashes before the Alexia. So it's safe to say I am a bit of a Wilson fanboy. I love the channel and I really enjoyed this episode, because I've learnt something about these speakers. I'm now looking forward to 1 day being able to have a listen to them with your critique in mind. Keep up the great work Adrian and the Gang I'm already looking forward to the next video.🎧🙂👍

Could these speakers be utilized in a mid to large-sized room with high ceilings for those customers who don’t have a dedicated listening space? If so, how do you think they stack up against other bookshelf speakers for this application (e.g. 805D4’s, Magico A1’s, KEF Reference 1’s)?

This review is particularly interesting as I recently auditioned Tube Tots with the MA12000, and was very impressed extremely smooth and non fatiguing. I had the meters nearly pegged and wanted more. May have been the speaker tap issue. My question is how much do you think was the MAC vs. the Wilson’s? The system had plenty of bass for me, but I currently listen to Magnepans, so again maybe the MAC.

The Tunetots speakers need a subwoofer. Not only does it fill in the bottom end, it transforms the presentation of the whole frequency range. I really wanted to love and keep these speakers, swapping out DACs and amps trying to achieve my desired sound, ultimately there was something sterile about them, so I moved on and am happy now.

How are they at low volumes? Downsizing presumably means having neighbors on the other side of the wall.

NO absolutely not, the Audiovector r1 arreté is a better speaker at 6500$ The best standmount speakers in the world are the Borresen M1.

Buy a pair of magnapan lrs instead

@David O Well, "It's a PROFIT organization" [Wilson Audio], so there's that. :-P Yes, IsoAcoustics, which are available and configurable for a wide range of sizes and are generally under $250 even for their top-range products. I've DIY'd over 20 different home audio and studio monitor speakers over the years and built a pair nearly identical to the Wilson Audio TuneTots using the same high-quality Scan-Speak Revelator midwoofer and tweeter drivers, with very solidly braced HDF cabinets finished in 1/4" solid walnut, and high-end crossover components. IIRC, all-in, they cost me about $2200 in parts and materials, and roughly a week of my time. Of course, you need to have the tools and workspace to do this, so it's not for everyone. So if you want a pair of amazing "Plug & Play" bookshelf speakers that also have a multitude of built-in settings to accommodate any type of placement you require, look into the new Neumann KH150 active studio monitors. $3,500 USD for the pair. IMHO, they easily outclass the Wilsons. You don't even need a separate amplifier to power the KH150, as they have separate built-in amplifiers for each midwoofer (145w) and each tweeter (100w). They also have built-in soft limiters designed specifically for each driver so you cannot drive them into distortion (like Adrian did here!), or overpower them and potentially damage the drivers. The enclosures or cabinets are incredibly dense and non-resonant, combining a high-quality aerospace polycarbonate with a wood sleeve for damping. And the Neumann KH150 dig down MUCH lower in frequency than the Wilsons! I use their smaller brother, the KH120A, in my home studio, and even they reach much lower in frequency using just 5.25" midwoofers. And the specs that Neumann provide are legit. The Neumann's have incredible resolution, clarity, and an immense 3D soundstage with pinpoint imaging and a very respectable output capability of 118dB @ 1m (for one speaker). The integrated waveguides give them an incredibly wide sweet spot that helps when you have less than ideal placement for the speakers in your room. I'm a musician (saxaphone & drums/percussion) and have had a home recording studio for over 12 years. When Adrian talks about the "smoothness" of the Wilson Tune Tots, that is 90% a function of Frequency Response, and I can tailor the EQ in my DAW or plug-ins so that these Neumanns sound like the Tune Tots, Sonus Farber, Focal, etc. It is literally just a matter of shaping the Frequency Response with EQ to the Sonic Characteristics of each "house sound". Unfortunately, you can't get the Neumann KH150 in all of the different colors and finishes of the Wilson's, but having heard the real Tune Tots and then building a nearly identical DIY pair, the Neumann's outperform them for less than Half the Price and are infinitely more adaptable and configurable to any room and placement, and have much better low-frequency extension as well. If you don't know who Neumann is, for well over 50 years they have built the high-end studio microphones that have recorded 90% of the best vocals on the "audiophile" recordings that you listen to. Look into the Neumann U47, U67, U87, M49, M149, etc as a start. And from a technology perspective, a loudspeaker drive unit is the inverse of a microphone capsule.

I’m a huge fan of Wilson but I heard these with Parasound/Lumin and they were a complete fail. Immediately noticeable was the complete lack of bass, they absolutely need a serious subwoofer. The dealer told me they are primarily for desktop/computer audio…for $10K+? Seriously, a crappy set of KEF LS50’s blow these away….ridiculous.
