The cool thing about Tony is the way he’s in his 50’s yet there’s still this child like joy in the way he talks about skating. He sounds so stoked on everything as though he’s still a kid.

@@DunderHead.5000 I’m still hyped on skating just not so much on high impact skating at my age. I still get hyped on doing what I feel comfortable doing at this time I’m ok with curbs and mini ramps. Cruising is something I appreciate more than when I was younger it was entirely tricks. Also hyped on PT/ balance boards now more to keep longevity.

These X Games were the best I've seen. And that includes the ones from the 90's. The commentary, the riding, and the camraderie were all on point. It was the perfect way to present to the general public how different "action" sports are. Competitors acting like friends, genuinely cheering for each other, and being overwhelmingly positive and inclusive had to blow the general public's mind. This shit is definitely not football, and I couldn't be more proud I've gotten to be part of it.

You guys as commentators work because A: unlike a lot of past commentators you TRULY know skateboarding. The best “color commentator” back in the day got about as creative as “Hosoi has style and he goes BIG!” You both can actually speak to skateboarding. Also you’re Far more entertaining because you know how difficult everything being done actually is!

X-Games coverage was amazing. Was loving the return of the og cast. Salema, Jason, and Tony make a dynamic cast. It reminded me of the gigantic skatepark tour. Makes me want a modern-day type of huckjam show.

X games was epic. Went Friday for vert and ended pretty pumped on all the events. Thank you Tony and Jason both for taking the time to sign stuff for me. I'm with Jason on the crowd. We were close to the ramp when Moto was practicing. people were at the BMX street still. I got caught up in the skating and never looked behind me till it started and went Holy crap where did everyone come from! Great job guys!

X Games were super fun this year, it had def some 90s/2000s vibes again, esp. after the last "hunger years" w. boring indoor spots. The amount of NBDs in BMX, Moto etc. were CRAZY! Keep up the good work, guys! I wanna see you up in that commentator box again in 2024. 24:10 uuh and I member an ad in Thrasher around the late 90s about that, some guys producing ice skating blades for skateboard trucks you could put on like normal wheels. Someone ollied 4 (?) stacked boards with that in an ice skate rink in that ad.

Maybe it was a camera failure, but the animated episode was an example of how two champs bounce back--and bounce back hard--from a failure to a success. Maybe it was extra work for several more parties involved, but the animated ep. was fun and funny. I would pay good money to see Tony Hawk on roller skates doing axle stalls and airs. Could something like that translate to raising more money for the Skatepark Project? This is a great podcast, great episode, and I love checking into it every week. The X Games are fun to watch again because of you two and all the crazy tricks that would not be in existence or thought possible if it weren't for you two.

I really enjoyed Tony and Jason on the XGames, Jason had a bit of that "fish out of water" look at times, but what makes him work is his enthusiasm and excitement when someone does well really comes across on screen; which is especially helpful for viewers that aren't versed in extreme sports. That's only part of why Jason made a great "on-field" host for XGames. I was also really excited to see Sal, I thought he had stopped being part of XGames awhile ago and I missed him; admittedly I haven't watched the XGames in its entirety in quite a few years(XGames needs to do more widespread advertising, I never know when it is on till its happening/ has happened), so I could be way off and Sal is always there.

Great show! Isn't the hoverboard in "Back to the Future 2" (1989). Also, the hoverboard doesn't have the sensation of wheels. Another question: Is the Got Milk-challenge, with a McTwist from drop in, really real? I have never seen Hawk do a 540 straight after a drop in. And I have seen all his movies, contests and demos on KZfaq. The speed change after the drop in is strange. Cool clip, though! I am a big fan of Hawk since "Animal Chin" (1986). But these two things leave me no rest. I don't really comprehend.
