Looking at a VoIP solution for the company I work for.. and the issue we have is our buildings are very physically separated... we use "dumb switches"" to push our network signal from one location to another. Our internet is DSL 15 down 2 up. Our provider is saying if we do their VoIP solution we need a second DSL line that is accessible for their VoIP through a VLAN. The fear is that we may have to upgrade many of our "dumb switches" to be able to handle their VLAN. Is it possible to add a VoIP solution to our existing infrastructure using QOS instead of all the headache and cost of a VLAN?
