We are BACK! After 4 months upgrading big Bez and working hard saving up our pennies for a 9 month adventure WE HAVE HIT THE ROAD AGAIN! We plan to start in the Peak District, then head to Lake District BEFORE TRAVELLING UP TO SCOTLAND AND COMPLETING THE NC500…THEN DOWN TO CORNWALL FOR ANOTHER SUMMER!?

I don't remember a thing about it but my mother tells me that back in the early 60's when I was a youngster we toured Scotland in an old Dormobile. I have seen some of the photos from back then and I can't believe I can't recall any of it. I particularly love the photo of me playing with a dog named Duchess who belonged to some fellow vanners. I'm told that they even had their cats with them as well. Even if I was small, Duchess was a humongous dog and so well natured with an inquisitive child. Many years later I discovered a box and in it it contained dozens of those little vinyl pennants that people used to stick on the van windows. There were so many it seemed like there was one from everywhere. When I asked my dad which ones we'd actually visited he just coolly replied "all of them". Years later we travelled around Scotland in a caravan but apart from when we visited castles and ruins I didn't really enjoy it. I was then a teenager and it just wasn't cool being on holiday with your parents! I was a proper "Kevin"!! 😂

Guys a great wee video, good story telling and the music is fantastic. If you seen the NC500 during the summer you would understand why some local folk have had their fill of camper vans. From blocking private driveways, dumping rubbish, pissing and shitting literally everywhere, SOME campervan folk have behaved like utter savages. Sadly that’s made it harder for decent and respectful van visitors to enjoy the highlands. So, gentle and considerate tourists, by all means visit, shop locally, leave no rubbish please respect the countryside and the locals who live and work there all year round.

Really enjoying retracing my steps from nearly 50 years ago in your delightful company. Your van's a sight better than my Anglebox and Ausie 1100 were, though! One big advantage of doing it in the winter is... no midges!

Great vlog. Love Scotland - your vid has made us want to go back asap 🤗. As for the local saying they'd seen someone using a passing place as a loo 🙄. This old chestnut seems to be the 'go to' myth of locals (& Councils) just not wanting us in a particular place (certain North Yorkshire areas are infamous for it). I just carry on plugging away as a CAMpRA member - trying to convince many local authorities and town councils that the vast majority of us are law abiding and spend cash in their locality. Plus we love and respect their areas - or else why would we be visiting 🤷. Look forward to the rest of your vlogs. Here's to you all enjoying every minute of your journey 🙂👍🙂

So true, it’s a shame that some people spoil it for the many of us, I don’t think I’ve ever met one Van dweller or camper who would dream of doing something like that as its detrimental to our lifestyle if these places get signs up! Most people leave places better and pick up others litter! - we’ve found it’s 9 times out of 10 day visitors in cars who leave the most rubbish! But hey ho we just have to prove ourselves by being good visitors I guess! Thank you so much for watching!! ❤️❤️ we appreciate it so much and your lovely comment 😁❤️❤️xxx

So glad I’ve come across your channel. Your enthusiasm’s great, we’re currently in the process of retiring (51 & 61) selling our house and FINALLY having the time to be able to make use of the little motorhome we bought last summer. We’ve not had an ounce of the use we thought we’d get from it due to work commitments so we’re packing in altogether while we’ve still got the energy to enjoy full time travelling. I’m looking forward to watching all your videos to give us travel inspiration as we hopefully very soon get the chance to travel at will, relax and enjoy spending the kids inheritance money 😂.

I stayed at the first place in this video, they were building showers and toilets there, that was 4 years ago. 🙂👍🏻

@Billy and Leanne I did it in early October, weather was so good. It was very quiet, not as quiet as you've experienced, being completely out of season. The less people around the better for me ! From what I can make out the NC500 has now got 'cult status' and has become/ becoming very busy in season. But you know why, its stunning.

Great filming . Such a shame not to be made welcome . The locals need to remember that tourists bring income to their area. The discontent should be taken up via government not displaced onto with visitors. Hugs ❤

Have you wondered why MHs have been welcomed? No? Yet you say the same thing that everyone who comes here says that we should be grateful for your money. We have had to put up with awful abuse yet you reckon we should make them welcome because of their money. These two are fine but a lot aren’t and saying about money I’d deplorable and part of the problem. Much as I like this couple they don’t spend a lot. Apart from fuel I spend more in a week shopping so please stop going on about money

At around 12 minutes I have replayed over and over but can't hear clearly what disturbance you are complaining about. There were three of what in the road? Dips? And how did that bother you? I don't get it.
