Fantastic lesson man! I have been basically a rythym player for 40 years. I'm always stuck in the pentatonic boxes it seems when it comes to lead. I honestly can say I think you are the best guitar instructor on KZfaq.

Figuring out where all BC and EF notes are the best way learn the neck. They act as landmarks for different modes so you can break out of the pentatonic and start sounding more like Jerry Garcia.

You are doing great speaking and showing information about learning lead on guitar. You don't bore us with a lot of nonsensical talking that many do, but you only speak to describe what a person should do.....Great Job!!

I've been playing for a while, i write my own misic and what not and i play some really complex chord progressions, and once you figure this out, you can go pretty far with it, but sometimes simple is better, and I'm learning that now as i write and arrange my songs for a full band rather than just the guitar parts... I've found more than once it's better to simplify the chords and put some of the notes that made the chords complex in the part for the second guitar or the bass. Also triads are your friend.
@michaelkaiser85
@michaelkaiser85 16 күн бұрын
Also triads are your friend for soloing and rhythm for a variety of reasons especially for changing keys it's much harder to change keys with larger chords.
