Gloria Cowan In the defense of that documentary’s producers, it may be an easy mistake they made. The actor’s retirement lasted only 8 months and it was after the season was completed. When the next season started with an other actor instead of him, they may have thought it was because of the actor’s death. But his death was merely a coincidence. The shows were low budget, and film was very expensive in england, therefore they were recorded live, unedited so no bloopers. I've watched this show nightly, ( as many a new girlfriend would testify to lol ) for literally years on end, and I just now realized that the guy buying the brown gloves in the scene with Mr. Grainger and Mr. Lucas, is the same gentleman who played Mr. Beechum in the episode " the junior. " And yes I truly do enjoy watching this show and watch it on a nightly basis so long as I have access to a computer, phone, tablet etc etc and I still get laughs from it. The characters are amazing, the actors talented, beyond the ordinary. Their acting alone was brilliant enough but most of them could also dance and sing beautifully, some could play the piano quite well as Capt. Peacock showed us. The writing was wonderfully done by some creative minds that have brought me many a laugh in other shows as well. But I think my most favorite thing to see while I am watching this show or" commenting below, ' is the fact that the comment section of every " Are you being served " on every channel in the entire realm of youtube is super positive and pretty much hate free. In a time when platforms like youtube and other "social media" are used to be dis respectful and horribly mean to one another, it is nice to read really up beat and funny comments like I find here without all the petty meanness. Thank you all for making one place on the internet that is sane.
