If God called you to be in any ministry, ALWAYS listen to him! never let a person discourage you because of whatever reasoning they may have..God has put it on your heart because he know that you can do it and he has given you the anointing to do it! If you need confirmation ask God to send a person to confirm this calling and pay attention to your dreams and interpret its meaning because God confirms destiny’s within our dreams..Be encouraged brothers and sisters ❤️💕

It is so great to hear them talk about the character of a person as opposed to one's qualification. It is character that qualifies not skill, because God is the one who qualifies the un-qualifiable through sovereign choice and through His Holy Spirit building their character. He gives them the desire and then builds them through ongoing sanctification. To many people want to be preachers/pastors because they seek the lime light and what they see. Whether on tv or in their own local assembly where the pastor is on a pedestal and is the one who is being served instead of serving. The Holy Spirit really used their intelligence to teach what is calling and what it looks like biblically through the eyes and heart of God's Holy Spirit. Amen Pastors. Amen!!!

I was definitely "called" by God to preach. Not sure why this is uncomfortable terminology. I was walking dow my hall, thinking about something random, certianly not thinking about standing in front of ANYONE preaching. Completely introverted and perfectly ok with my life and RUNNING out of church service as soon as it was over...and on this day, a inner voice came outta no where, very clear and completely opposite of what i was thinking or doing. The voice said "you are called to preach my word"... HUH!! Wait just a sec here!!.. Yall, i wrestled with this thing... for YEARS! I prayed, asked God to choose someone else.. i mean, surely he had mistaken.. but the "calling" never left. Then, i begin praying for healing. I asked God for a voice to speak.. not on stages.. just to people everyday. He healed my soul.. gave me my voice back. It had been stolen when i was just a kid. Somehow weirdly..i became extroverted! I begin to love to hang out with people.. its all kinda unexplainable honestly. But my point here is this, there is a such thing as God "calling" one to preach.. I didnt have the burning desire, or even the want.. i was too broken. But he healed me and now the desire to preach his word has sprung up like never before. Blessings.

I Love What I hear. You Guy's are correct. I remember back in the 80's & 90's and people would say "Brother So & So Is Called" Some Of This is People in the Church Like a Given Young Man's Charterer. I don't see this as GOD told an individual that so & so needs to Preach. If a Young Man has a Good Character or The Character of Jesus. And Doesn't Gossip etc etc. As well as Has a Burning Desire to Consume the WORD. It is a Natural Outflow that all that a Man is Consuming will Bubble Out and they will Naturally Minister To People in their Neighborhood .It Naturally Shows within someone's Life in every Aspect. They consider the LORD in Everything they do and are Hungry for more.As the last thing a or the Church needs is to put a men on a Pulpit who has not been Tried or their Faith Has not been Tried. As when they or if they fall in Life be it Drugs or Adultery.It can Reflect on the Church or Community .

I really like these guys, they have a wealth of experience. I like how they put servitude first. I also think it’s important not to put people off the call to God. We have to pursue what God has put in our hands now. Discipleship first, very good. We need preachers who herald the truth more than ever in these dark days as the final hour is approaching. I feel compelled to tell the world, and I can do that just on the street wherever I can find a crowd. I have to say that pastors need to be willing to allow a man’s gift to be honed and perfected under his auspices. A good pastor should have apprentices. God bless these good brothers and if the Lord has called you then stop resisting and pursue that destiny. Remember most of life is established not in the mountains but in the valleys. God forth my friends and be diligent in your calling as I will too.

Good to see this. I've had this in my spirit for quite some time. People have been coming to me or calling on me to help them find peace. I prayed about this knowing another's life is a huge responsibility to even attempt to help. Mainly for fear of leading them wrong. So The time it took up until now to try and grasp this has been several years. and the main reason is my choosing to not accept the responsibility using my own life and living as an excuse. I'm interested in seeing where it goes now that I'm open and feeling peace with it. (responsibility)

I gotta say after listening to this whole thing these Pastor finally got to where they were encouraging at least some of the men both young and old saying they were called. I'm torn because they was more sustaining the supposed called than encouraging and letting the process weed out the actual potential speakers of the word. But I'm thankful for the enlightenment of these three men. Continued blessings for the work.

I always feel the desire to preach to thousands and it always boils up into my heart. However, the devils given me the spirit of fear because HE is SCARED of my future!? And I always look at things in a different way. E.g. I see the drum as the heart and centre of music; it is the very thing that sets the tempo of the music it can control how quickly something happens or how slowly something happens! I also feel that it is the heart because the drum is always at the back; deep drown in the body keeping it moving! Is the immediate calling music and game design? I'm 15 doing exams in GCSE.

Knowing the Gospel has to be the start. I've researched many a church where I live and the question I ask is "What is the Gospel?". Surprisingly, many pastors say "well, it's complicated". To which I think to myself: "your congregation must be confused".

All Christ followers are called to preach - or to proclaim the gospel. The question is - are you gifted to the position to preach. What was the context that Paul preached? Or James?

I thought I was called until one day I started stuttering and repeating myself when I was trying to give the word.

It was a great informational. My only critique would be that this was addressed to “males”. The call is gender neutral, we know, however, when discussing the topic in the manner in which they did, it was obviously thought of and delivered as if to males. What does a male pastor do when a female approaches with the same inquiry? It has been difficult as a woman to confirm my call within. When there is no direct reflection of the desire in my heart, how do I know? Something about needing confirmation and direction from woman to woman.

From what I’ve learned from God is that the preacher is the proclaimer of the Gospel and spreads the word of God And the Prophet speaks thus says the Lord in the life of the believer for their edification and betterment of faith Seers of the Lord have to fall in line with the prophet and and the preacher living to the standard and calling to serve the body of Christ Jesus and operates together for Christ glory and salvation in a full spirit filled Church ⛪️

Why is it that when a man or woman believes that God is calling them to preach as a Pastor, every one of them seems to want to build or find or rent out a church space? Every person is called to testify and to proclaim that that Jesus is Lord and the gospel word of God. I've come to realize that in being called to preach and teach the Gospel, why not become an associate Pastor to another church? Is it because one knows that he will be subordinate to the leading Pastors? Does that actually happen? Do men finally taking up the call to pastor and or preach at a church they've chosen and find that the elders keep him from preaching? If so, what is the issue behind it?

Appreciate the thoughtfulness and the biblical foundation of your answer. There is great substance to your answers and provides a tremendous amount of value to consider. I still feel you have missed the critical element of the role of the Holy Spirit in the "calling." Which is a much bigger issue in Christendom than this topic. It strikes me that, since the time of the reformation, the church has steadily taken a course that has driven us to essentially rely on our human intellect, traditions and our own proclivities. In some cases, this has led us to the manifestation that Paul warns the young pastor Timothy about that there would be those "with a form of godliness," but that lacks the true power of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit.

This subjective aspect is something that I don't understand also external. I have had multiple people give multiple opinions. Is their a Biblical basis for they are saying? Wondering which scripture supports this view?

It's a reason Jesus once said pray for Laborers not that he was referring only to Pastors but I think when it comes to people "called" to preach...you the human/Pastor/congregation should deter the person... because people have human emotions and feelings...alot of people in their feelings shouldn't stop someone who feels called to preach.

If you don’t feel comfortable with that language perhaps you haven’t been called. Maybe you desired to preach and followed the path to preaching much like others follow career paths. Being called is an experience we see more than a few times in the Bible. Same God back then is the same God right now.

Someone told me I was called to do this and I didn’t believe it lol. But not was confirmation of a dream. It’s kinda scary

I’m worried. My children’s father says he is called to be a pastor but I don’t think he’s ready to be a pastor. He’s divorced and we are talking about getting married. We also are still falling into sin sometimes. I just don’t think he’s qualified to lead. And he’s not very good with managing money and I wonder if he’s a lil narcissistic sometimes. I’m not ready to be a pastors wife.

Often the person of God will be seeking God for themselves, family and the church will not always be receptive because of how they watched you as a child, or they are spiritually dead, and the biggest element that will try to discourage is Satan himself, his goal is to prevent you from listening to God, or to distract you by other means. Study God's word, pray more read more, love people more, it will become tougher, but when God sees your faith He will reveal His mission for you step by step. Remember not the whole vision, but peice by peice.

You know what is sickening about this is who are any of you to judge what God calling someone to do? I told my church that I felt like God was calling me to preach and it’s not that I had a feeling it’s because I had DREAMS of me being in the stand preaching. A lot of dreams. I even had dreams that my moderator didn’t believe I was saved and called. This was a year before they excluded me. But these brothers started saying stuff that was out of line in the stand about me and I confronted them about it and a week later I was excluded from my home church. Today I had a dream that I was preaching and people around me was rejoicing and praising God.. I don’t know how clearer God can get in what he wants me to do. But it seems like men keep getting in the way. The devil hates it. How about you elders start to listen and stop looking down on young brothers who have that feeling of being called because one day you will be gone and these young brothers will be the ones stepping in you’re place.

so i am confused why are you uncomfortable with the word calling when talking about preaching??? so you dont think God calls people to preach how do they become one then please give a little more detail talking about the guy in the middles explaination

If these brothers arent keeping all the laws and commandments, such as worshipping on Saturday, then listening to these pastors is the same as following the blind..and Yahawa (God) did NOT call them. We must be clean of our sins and Keep the Commandments and laws before we can teach or preach to anyone else..Yahawa wont choose you otherwise.

Honestly gentlemen I did not see the Spirit alive here. I saw and listened to your arm chair opinions about what you believe should be the criteria for qualifying to be a preacher, however. I did not see the Spirit of the Lord as the foundation of your beliefs in this subject. If someone feels led by Christ to preach, whether that is in front of a congregation inside of a building, or to strangers on the street, that is that individuals mission in life to complete. At no time is it another man's place to say what is or what is not another man's calling is in life unless it is by Jesus Christ Himself. I would ask you men of God to prayerfully consider analyzing your beliefs and how you go about presenting them to the world, especially considering on the internet, many of the viewers may not be believers. If someone has the desire to spread the Word of God, why would you discourage that individual by making them feel as though they have to qualify in meeting your criteria in what being a preacher is? No brothers, we must spread the good news, be joyful and supportive when the people around us want to also share the message of hope and love in Christ Jesus. May God bless you.
