Welcome to my general knowledge quiz.
It's a fast paced quiz with 30 questions and 10-12 seconds to read the question and pick your answer.
Multiple choice with a good mix of questions most of which are quite difficult.
I create different styles of quizzes with this one being the most difficult, it allows me to learn new things when researching the questions which I find very enjoyable.
The quiz might be a bit quick for some, if so, when you start the video there is a settings button at the bottom right, if you click that you can change the playback speed to a more suitable one.

A rough one for me. 24/30. Missed stratocracy, best university in the world, most abundant metal, first woman to manage [achievement], Phileas Fogg's bet, and the TV spin-offs. A point of interest - I did get the potato/composer one right, but there are also potato varieties called Mozart and (a rare one) Chopin. We were in a quiz once and there were *two* appeals by teams to get those accepted as well. There's just so many potato varieties!

Some hard questions - lots of people scored lower than usual 👍🏻 “Chopin Potatoes” - released exclusively at Marks and Spencer’s in 2008 😳. Thank you for the information and I really hope it comes up at a quiz in the future - I can show off a bit 😀

Scored 22. Guessed badly too. Castoreum would have been obvious to any Asterix fans who recall one of the legionaries mocking another with the Latin term 'castor acer', which the book helpfully translates into the English 'eager beaver'. Fortunately I am one such person

I have never read the French comic however I remember hearing that food manufacturers use the glands of beavers for certain "natural" flavoring

@@craigkatz1018 I think that French comic is Belgian, and it is wonderful. I’ve heard it said by a bilingual that the English language version is better than it is in French, so masterful is the translation. Liberally sprinkled too with snippets of facts like historical dates, bits of Latin, Roman place names….. good stuff. If you’re reading Dale definitely recommend Asterix for your bairns when they get a bit bigger.

On this general knowledge quiz, I scored 26/30. Missed # 18, 26, 29, and 30. I know some potatoes, but that variety is unknown to be... until now. Thanks for the quiz.
