Thank god that during it's existence the NBA let go of its unwilligness to allow foreign players to enter the NBA. Don't get me wrong, there are players that are busts but otherwise we wouldn't have seen Tony Parker, Ginobili, the Gasol brothers, Nowitzki, SGA, Jamal Murray, Nash Luka and Jokic which would've been a shame (I didn't see Olajuwon nor Mutombo but I'm pretty sure it's ok to include them in the list.)

i used to think perkins was the worst but now i think its gilbert arenas. perkins is legit stupid enough to say the things he says with conviction. although he's misguided i at least somewhat respect him saying the dumb things he believes confidently. arenas's podcast is the fox news of nba media and he is a snake in the grass who knows the things he's saying are ridiculous but says them anyways in order to up the clicks and views for himself and his show. gilbert is a shill who will say anything outrageous in order to get more eyeballs on him. its unforgiveable because he's influencing the millions of casuals who follow him and his show and is damaging a great players legacy in the process. all in order to line his own pockets, and he's going to continue to do it because he continually gets rewarded for it just like nick wright did before him. jokic is a lightning rod for controversial statements and certain media personalities take advantage of that especially because they know they'll never get blowback from jokic himself or the people surrounding him. although i do think jokic should come out and defend himself against some of the most outlandish takes he never will cause he doesnt care.

This should be Luka's year, honestly. Joker is the best player in the world but he's already got 2 and he's not doing anything we haven't seen from him before. Luka has been the most spectacular player in the league this year, and he's got his team into a strong position (which was the only knock on him all year long) to close out the year.

Fans are too quick to dismiss greatness which is why MJ only has 5 when he should probably have 8 and Bron only has 4 when he should probably have 6. The best player in the world is MVP, point blank period, no other narrative should affect the winner. Jokic is the best, most impactful player in the world, he is the MVP until Doncic becomes genuinely better than him.

I don't think he deserves MVP this year because his numbers are down from last year. When you think of whose the most valuable player in the NBA, I think the best player on the best team should win it and so far this year it's been Tatum or SGA most consistently. Plus, Joker doesn't have that much impact on the defensive end. Also, he doesn't have the night-in and night-out competition that Luka, Tatum or SGA have to face. Kareem has the most MVP's with 6 and then it's Jordan and LeBron. Joker on offense is just as good as those 3 have ever been but defensively he's a below par by far. SGA and Tatum are 2-way players, Joker is not! 💯

No, his stats are the same. Only efficiency is down significantly to levels similar to his MVP years, comparing to last year in which it was outstanding, and that is mostly due to 3pt %.

For a guy who won the easiest ring ever last year (three play-in teams!), I want to see what happens when he has a tougher path. He has only beaten 1 team seeded higher than 4th (Clippers in the bubble). Not a 7th seed and TWO 8th seeds!
