Awesome thank you MR BALLMER, I've been a fan since 1986, FINALLY the LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS have,there,own.. LAKERS FANS their's the XCEL ARENA,st Paul Minnesota..Minneapolis HAS THE TIMBERWOLVES.. 31-9 record against the St Paul LAKERS

Xcel Energy Center was built for the Minnesota Wild, which is an NHL franchise located in St. Paul, MN. The Lakers moved to Los Angeles after the 1959-1960 season, leaving Minnesota without an NBA franchise until the Minnesota Timberwolves started play in 1989.

It’s a really cool venue. Unfortunately the clippers are devoid of young talent and won’t be able to put a competitive team on the floor for many years.

No , he paid his way, bought the forum to avoid the lawsuit, city did eminent domain to clear the way for the project. Give the city a 300 million endowment . In exchange for major tax breaks. He knew what he was doing. Wealthy people will not make an investment if it’s not profitable.

Balmer wanted to give more room to the finds, so its not cramped as in most arenas. I am down for that. The 2 billion are for other amenities as well that other stadiums do not have.. clean reusable energy, hotel, plenty of parking unlink some venues, shopping areas, etc..... not just seating. but it looks great,
