It's finally happening, after an agonizing 18 month wait, Deep Dip 2 is almost here!
The first Deep Dip was an unprecedented success and became one of the most popular events in the game Trackmania, drawing in a record number of viewers for whoever was brave enough to attempt the map on stream.
It was a spectacular battle to watch, and the mapping team quickly went to work and got started on a sequel, which has now finally arrived.
In two days, Friday May 3rd, one hour after the start of COTD, at 20:00 CEST, the map will go live in the Deep Dip club. You can already join the waiting room, and at 20:00 exactly, the map will pop off and you can start your climb.

Not that different from Deep dip 1 when you think about it, it's a speedcheck and if you fail you have to restart the map

I just really like the fact that the mappers were told to leave a gap there from the first minute for this specific scenario. It's also just so much more dramatic that you're falling right in the middle instead of somewhere out of the stadium.

I think Deep Dip 3 should have 9 floors but they get taller and wider, themed around Dante's Inferno. A sort of "escape from hell" would fit a Deep Dip map as they are so difficult.

From the looks of it, too much speed will make you hit the bar and miss the finish as well. You also probably need to be going very straight up the the ramp (which is curved, making it harder to see your angle on it). It's precise, not a speed check.

@@Proof_ I agree with your point, but,even though both those games aren't quite comparable, I come from the Geometry Dash Community, and some people take months if not year to learn and succeed on a single map, and when someone can do in a few weeks what others have done in years, we generally assume that the limit can be pushed much further. That said...I'm sure a 10k prize pool can make the process faster 💀

Rewatching this now that we are so deep into deep dip I've just realised most of the jumps in this video are bait and not the actual jumps in the map The jumps in this video are so cool though

@@miroslavzderic3192 all of them seem to be recovery routes, i am not sure about the scene from floor 12, but ALL the tricks on the lower floors are recovery only. I love that.

Really hope they find a way to continually increase the height of the map, if there is a sky limit, maybe make another floating tower that you cant shortcut to, but have to transfer to the bottom of via Snake (like in deep dip 1). Difficulty has a reasonable limit, endurance doesn't with the passion of this community.

Bren gives it a week. Max 2 if the last floors are really difficult. All TM best players are grinding it, no map can resist long against the community : Bren, Hazardu, Skandear, CarlJr, Mime, Mudda, Lars, Marius, Granady, Simo900, Korch, Wirtual, Scrapie, Spammiej, Massa, Jave, Samifying, eLconn, Wosile, Juliano, Matt... Only a few great names like Yannex or Hefest are missing but the current lineup is sick

After one month it is funny how all people underestimated difficulty because time to make progress rises exponentially, so it is very hard to extrapolate and predict how long it will take. Imagine you can gat max one try a day on the last floor
