When I watched it for the first time when I was young, I fell in love with Carlisle immediately - and when I grew up and watched the rest of the series and read the books, I still loved and chose Carlisle, but to be honest, when I watched the third season, I also loved Jasper, but Carlisle remained my favorite.

Some people says Team Edward and some people says Team Jacob. But to be honest, I'm Team Carlisle❤

I love how Bella’s visions of Edward never got explained. She was having serious psychological problems and we all just accepted it like it was nothing 😅

Loving your reactions to these films! Each one gets better and by the end you will see why most people are team Edward, it just makes more sense. Those times she saw Edward after he left was all in her head. She knew he wouldn't approve of her putting herself in danger so she would imagine his reaction each time. It made her feel connected to him so she would deliberately put herself in harms way to trigger the images of him. Unfortunately there are parts in every film that aren't explained properly so only people who read the books know the full details.

As an adult now Team Charlie for me! He’s a pretty darn good dad through all this. I was and still lean towards being an Edward shipper though. Can’t help it, I always loved the emo boys. Lol

I'm Team Edward, because I have to believe that true love conquers all, even when there are obstacles and pain and it can look toxic to others. Edward only hurt her because he thought he was doing what was best for her, not because he was a jerk. He gave up his only chance at love to save her. I think that's honorable, even if it didn't end up the way he thought. And as a parent whose daughter was massively used and mistreated by a boy, it is true that forgiveness is difficult, and trust impossible. Thankfully, that kid is in jail for a long time, now, and I don't have to worry about him anymore.

My husband is listening from the other room and just said "anyone who's team jacob unironically....they have relationship problems!" hahaha If we have to choose between Jacob and Edward, it's Edward all the way. Jacob is a big ol' emotional man baby who sees nothing wrong with forcing himself on someone he believes is in love with him. I just can't approve of her being with Jacob. That being said, Bella is dumb and Edward is soooo dramatic. In reality we are team Charlie, the most level headed cutie!

The Edward visions are in fact in Bella's head, he does not have the power to astral project (though that would have been so good actually 😂😂). Throughout New Moon, Bella decides to do reckless things in order to "see" Edward. It's weird, I don't remember the details of it either so I can't remember what the logic behind it is exactly 😂 I am still firmly team Edward though and always have been. I like Jacob as a standalone character, but I don't like him with Bella whatsoever. There's a couple of scenes sprinkled throughout the entire series that really solidified my choice for me so I'm curious to see where your opinion is gonna go moving forward! Eclipse (the next movie) is probably my favorite in the series as it explores some backstories as well, so I'm looking forward to your reaction to that!

Great reaction! 😊 I'm always going to be a Team Edward girl. However, I do love that moment when we got to see Jacob transform into a wolf for the first time. Since we don't see much of Edward in this one, the timing for the filming for this movie worked out well for Robert Pattinson. Since this was around the time that he was filming his 2010 movie "Remember Me"(which I very highly recommend). This was my least favorite of the books. And my 3rd favorite of the movies. Already looking forward to your "Eclipse" reaction next. And looking forward to your next reaction. 😊

Jacob was such a soft boi and he genuinely had so much potential to be a better love interest. The reason why no one is team jacob anymore is because the author of the books ruined his character so much after new moon to make the fans like edward more. Team Charlie, the only man in this franchise with sense

I was also Team Jacob for up until the third movie growing up hahaha. I'd get so excited re-watching this movie because there's so much more Jacob content. I just really liked the relationship between Bella and Jacob in this movie so much more than the start of Bella's relationship to Edward. Bringing back many 11yo teen girl memories watching these movies with you! And a fun little note, in the books, Jacob grew from a scrawny 15yo to a whole 6'7 within a year because of his werewolf puberty and his proximity to the Cullens.

I was definitely team Jacob growing up, but now as an adult I'm more team go to college in Florida

Carlisle has never drank human blood, and after several decades (century or two) he's been desensitized to human blood so that's why he can be a doctor no problem. He's [Carlisle] is 300+ years old. Followed by Jasper (America's Civil War), and Esme/Edward/Alice/Rosalie/Emmett are all early 1900s.

And yes, Bella saw Edward in her mind, he did not astral-project or anything XD I guess most of us are team Edward because Jacob later on would not take 'no' for an answer and wouldn't respect Bella's decisions. I personally think both relationships would've been kind of toxic, but I still lean to Edward's side (Especially after I read the Midnight Sun, which is the first Twilight book from Edward's perspective)

Definitely Team Jacob because I hate broody, "I'm so evil and bad for you" vampires. Edward, Angel, and Stefan were booooring - meanwhile Spike and Damon had fun with being vampires and still ended up being on the good guys side, and that's the way to make an interesting vampire!

I don't want to be 'that' nerd, but they aren't actually werewolves - they are shapeshifters. In the books it's explained that some old magic caused them to transform. There are real werewolves in this series, but we don't actually see them, but they are described as being extremely powerful, way stronger than both shapeshifters and vampires. Would have been cool to see them.

If Jacob would've stayed the way he was in the first movie and most of New Moon I would be Team Jacob 100% but unfortunately that's not the case. I don't think I'm on any team to be honest.

I've always loved the Twilight Saga, even now when I'm forced to look back and cringe at how much I like Edward, thank god I grew out of that. It's the ones who make fun of something the most, at least in my case, that hold it in a special place in their hearts :) Thank you for giving these movies a chance :)

I remember being dragged to the Twilight movies by my mother and sister as a child. It wasnt that bad. I mean it was bad but like enjoyable bad. Like theres a lot of parts that dont make too much sense but the love triangle stuff was always goofy entertaining and the fight scenes were also decent I guess. Can't really complain.

I know a lot of people have already said that Edward was not astral projecting and it was all in Bella's head, but what I don't think anyone has mentioned is that in the books Bella actually does not see visions of Edward, she only hears his voice in her head telling her not to do the dangerous things she is doing. The movie changed it to Bella seeing visions of Edward, otherwise Robert Pattinson would only have had a small part in the beginning and a small part at the end of the movie.

Her folding the picture is because she feels ugly, especially compared to Edward. She would rather just look at him then the whole picture with herself in it…😩😬

I was Team Jacob. I read the books and his character arc is so sad. He really cared for Bella.

Woooaahhh rewatching this with you has made me realize fully why the quileutes were so willing to always do things for Bella and protect her. Bcs they are really good friends and loyal to Charlie and they really care about him so by default they have to ensure nothing happens to his beloved daughter and kind of do these acts of service of protecting her. I don’t believe it’s just bcs Jacob has a crush and they used to hang when. They were little. Cause Bella is way too rude and insufferable for them to just want to do such kind things for her like that for no real reason. I’ve figured it all out 🤓

Edward believes his soul is damned. It's not part of their lore, but it's HIS beliefe. and I think Carlisle's too who I'm sure learned it from the Volturi who really ARE power hungry monsters. I'm with Bella on this though. He's not a monster for the simple fact that he doesn't want to be one and does everything he can to restrain that part of himself. Jacob didn't know he was a werewolf. He didn't know about Edward either. Remember in the last movie he thought the thing about wolves in his tribe was "just a story." He found out about all of that after he had his transformation. I imagine his pack also told him about the Cullens after that too.

it takes a long time for a vampire to master their thirst. a vast majority just give into it and feed on humans because human blood is just *that* irresistible to resist which is why it's so abnormal to be a "vegetarian" in the vampire world. jasper is the *newest* vegetarian which i'm sure started when him and alice got together and alice and jasper have been together since the 1950s i'm pretty sure and he's still classified as a new vegetarian all while feeding on animal blood so if you think about it, he's been on animal blood for over 50 years and still doesn't have it under control. carlisle is the only one that has his thirst *completely* under control and he's been a vampire for hundreds of years. also it isn't certain if you lose your soul once you become a vampire, as you can see edward and his family feel things differently towards humans and are more in touch with their humanity if you will so i guess the more you give into your vampire instincts and kill like any human that does, you're more likely to be damned.

26:48 there not really "werewolves" as we know them. They are called shape-shifters in native indian culture and the Quileute are wolves.

Definitely Team Edward here! Always have been, but it will make more sense to you after the last few movies. I see that someone explained Edward's visions. I don’t think they actually damn there soul.That’s just how Edward see it.

Edward wasn’t projecting himself or anything like that. In the books they make it clear that Bella was hallucinating. She comes up with a few reasons it could be happening. Either she is insane, or it’s some kind of wish fulfillment and her mind is making up what she wants to be true. After Edward is back she comes to the conclusion that it was that the truth was so strong they even though she was absolutely certain about the opposite the truth registers in her unconscious mind. Also Bella didn’t do dangerous stuff because she wanted Edward to come back and save her or anything like that, she just wanted to hear his voice and found it was the only way she could remember him without hurting.

He isn’t actually there. It’s just a way to keep him in the film. Bella was looking for ways to see him if he wasn’t actually there.. feel alive again through the depression. Showing glimpses of him is a way to make what happened in the book happen.

I think you're confused on a lot of things but I've seen people explain most of them. So all I'll say is, the books make it clearer that Bella never loved Jacob like that. Not like she loved Edward. Edward was always the first one in her heart. But she loves Jacob as a friend. And sure, if Edward had died or stayed away then maybe after many years she would have chosen Jacob. But Edward was always her one love.
