I appreciate the recommendation for a professional service instead of replacing or trying to clean yourself. Every time. I get a new (used) car, I send the fuel injectors in for service to eliminate the uneven fuel delivery variable. I use RC Fuel Injection in Torrance, CA.

Thanks for all your videos and sharing of knowledge. What about pulling the spark plugs and see what they indicate is going on inside the cylinder?

Agreed! I thought about adding that to the video but it was getting a bit long and reading plugs is subjective, especially for people that haven't read a lot of them. But definitely worth it in my opinion to pull the plug in question and maybe a couple others at random to compare. Definitely don't want them white, or black, nice tan color is ideal!

I have not seen any evidence that any of them do much - except Techron does seem to fix C5 fuel sending units - but that is a different issue than a clogged injector IMO. Think about this - 12 oz bottle of super duper injector cleaner plus mixed with 2,300 ounces of gas in the tanks (18 gals = 2300 oz +/-) - that's like peeing in a swimming pool (:-)

@@Toys4Life When I bought my low-mileage 2003, the fuel mileage for the first three tank of gas was much lower than expected. Then I began adding 16 oz of Techron per tank every second tank (total three times). Mileage improved from 17 - 17.3 mpg to 20.5 - 21.5 mpg in mostly city with some highway driving. Though it's far from a scientific test, these results seem to indicate that Techron does more than simply keep the fuel sending units clean of sulfur contamination. As always, YMMV. LOL

I am not convinced that the pour in the tank cleaners do much - except I am convinced the Techron helps clean early C5 fuel sending units so they function properly.

Ive heard running techron in your tank is good so thats what i do not sure about if it works does anyone else run disssstuff

Definitely works if you have a fuel gauge sending unit that's not working properly, I'm not so sure it works for injectors though, at least I haven't seen any compelling evidence.

So I’ve been having a misfire in my cylinder 7 for about 6 months now, I’ve changed plugs, wire plugs, coil packs, I took it to my dealership and they had told me it was the fuel pumps and they were charging me 5k, take in mind that I’ve still been racing it and I still have not gotten any issue whatsoever, but I really want to find out what’s going on, anyone know about this

@@Toys4Life everything that you described in your video is correct my engine shakes a lot even inside my car when it’s idling it idles rough and shakes, my car isn’t stable at 600 rpms as it should it just keeps on bouncing between 580-610, when I installed my headers about the 2nd week when I had them I started getting it and at first it was a smell but I would say it was the headers burning due to them being all brand new, the person that installed my headers had said that he deleted the 02 sensors, so I mean I haven’t done anything to it after, car sometimes backfires on idle when it’s moving but everything really works as if it was running good, sometimes I step on it about 25-30% throttle and it seems like it agitates when rpms go up around 1500-2500 rpms, thank you for responding to my message

No thanks. IMO - then you have to deal with the real possibility they are characterized differently than your factory injectors & suddenly your LS runs like crap. Now you need a tune - thats if you have proper injector data.

@@Toys4Life What do you do if you take them to a flow bench and one fails? you have to replace that one, so you get that one tested to make sure its within the same range as the others?

IMO, It depends on if they're factory or aftermarket. If I had a factory injector fail (and I didn't need a larger injector), I would get a used factory injector & have it tested. If one of my aftermarket Siemens Decas 60 lb failed, I would just buy a new one. If several of my factory injectors failed and wouldn't clean properly to restore flow, I would probably buy aftermarket quality ones that came with known good characterization data.

He'd rather spend hours and hours doing ridiculous tests. Have you seen his air filter series? lol He thinks replacing with brand new flow tested injectors your LS will run crap. I have never been able to make it thru a full video of this guy. Almost as bad as Lyle from C&S
