@@scxizm7828 and then it stop being fun when all opponents try to do becomes either to put up so many omni negates on turn 1 that they can basically negate ur entire hand, or put up floodgates that completely stop you from playing the game.

Don’t feel like the different types of summoning are the issue. For me, it’s most difficult to understand why you can’t activate certain effects during a chain when you think you should be able to.

They literally made PSCT for reasons like this. If the discard part is directly preceding a semicolon, it's a cost. Otherwise, it's part of the effect.

@@daedalus5253 True. Its something that I only have in one of my various decks, so I don't think its very common. MD helps on learning which effects can be used and which ones have been used by highlighting or greying them out which in a real life match it would cause misplays.

They do. The text before the semicolon is the cost and the text after the semicolon is the effect. If there's no semicolon then there's no cost.

There's assault mode and hop ear squadron plays that generaider can do which let's you go into shenshen and psychic end punisher. It isn't limited to just laevatein

@@obinnayaanyanwu6289 nah i meant like for example one of ma despian cards only activates if its SENT from the hand or field to the graveyard, i use super poly that DISCARDS a card, i discard said despian card and the effect doesnt go off cause it was discarded and not sent. i know its common sense but the wording in yugioh is so anal lmfao

If two or more effects happen at the same time in the chain, you get to choose the order of resolution. Considering ONLY those effects, and assuming 2 of them as the easiest example, the effect that resolves first (Chain Link 2 in this case) is the only one that can be interacted with cards that have to be used in response only to the last chain link. Example: Tearlaments Kitkallos and her "Yoinky Sploinky" effect. Kitkallos says you can target a monster on the field in order to Special Summon a Tearlaments monster from the hand (in this example, Tearlaments Merrli) and then send the targeted monster (in this example, Kitkallos). When Merrli is summoned, her mill 3 cards effect and the mill 5 cards effect of the sent to the GY Kitkallos trigger at the same time, and you can order when you resolve their effects however you want. So if we make Merrli be Chain Link 1 and Kitkallos be Chain Link 2, an Ash Blossom (for example) can interact with Kitkallos but not Merrli. Kitkallos is "Chain Blocking" Ash to interact with Merrli. If we make Kitkallos Chain Link 1 and Merrli Chain Link 2, now Kitkallos is safe to Ash and Merrli isn't. Ash is being "Chain Blocked" by Merrli to respond to Kitkallos. This last case turned out to be a cornerstone play for Tearlaments, to ensure at least 5 cards milled. In contrast, cards like Called by the Grave, Effect Veiler or Infinite Impermanence dont give a shit about Chain Blocking.
