Hi Vincent, thanks for the comment. We purposefully didn't use a Pythagorean triplet so as not to bring any distractors into the video. We'd prefer to cover Pythag in a separate video such as the one in the information below the video.

I appreciate the lesson on exam questions being "Not drawn to scale". It is a great reminder for students. One thing. It would have been nice if your right triangle was a 3,4,5 (or version thereof) to support the Pythagorean theorem.

I had to laugh when I quizzed my son just now. I asked him to solve for the area at 4:35 and he said, "That triangle is physically impossible. The hypotenuse has to be greater than the height. It can't be 6cm with the height at 8cm."

A 5-6-7 right triangle is impossible. I appreciate this video, it is wonderful in all other ways, but.... don't you fear it might confuse students further if they think a 5-6-7 right triangle is possible?
