Anyone on ESPN and in the mainstream sports media talk out their ass and misquote facts and misrepresent, and they just spew opinions as facts, so when you actually bring real facts, they get upset. Keith Olbermann (before he moved to politics) was one of the few Sport Journalists in recent history that actually said facts and made logical arguments and called people out on their bs. @@danieldang3908he’s not. He takes the easy ways out. He always sets up teams to hide his weaknesses to get easy stats. He gets more assists because he’s super ball dominant. He gets a lil more rebounds because he sags off on defense and camps out to get non contested rebounds where as Kobe and Jordan are playing actual defense on the perimeter. He knows how to fill the stat sheet up but I wouldn’t say he’s more skilled at anything than Kobe or Jordan.

The only one ahead of LeBron is MJ himself. Wilt didn't win enough, Russel wasn't an MVP offensive player the way Lebron was, unfortunately magic and bird cannabalized each other in the goat case and kobe wasn't good for long enough after his achilles injury. The only one that is debateable is kareem but he had another top 5 player playing with him for most of his championships

LBJ Average’s more PPG, APG, RPG, SPG, and BPG than Kobe. He has 4 MVP’s to Kobe’s 1. He has 4 FMVP’s to Kobe’s 2. LBJ doesn’t surpass MJ. But he arguably passed Kobe.

You forgot that lebron has the most turnovers in playoff history and finals history. Even magic freaking johnson who has some of the greatest passing numbers of all time didn’t even come close to the number of turnovers lebron has. So that “more assist” factor is void. “More finals appearances” is also void because looking at the quality of teams lebron has had is far more important to note. Winning matters. Kobe won more with less than lebron. People dislike lebron because of what he does. He called himself the goat and wholeheartedly believed it. Mike never called himself the goat. Nor did kobe.

I'm 49 and I have been saying this for years. Kobe is better than LBJ because he actually took the road less travelled and went on the HEROES JOURNEY. When Shaq left he didn't call T Mac or Vince to come play with him he wanted to beat the best players not join them, Old school players like Magic, Jordan, Bird etc...wanted to beat you not join you. I know LBJ STANS are gonna come in with the copy and paste stats about LBJ vs Kobe, but almost every player who played with or against Kobe gives him the head nod over LBJ, but strangely the media doesn't. That Court case in Colorado is why the media bashes Kobe I'll say it. It damaged his brand, but his greatness could not be denied, because if that would have happened to any other player they would have became journey men hopping from team to team and eventually forgotten about. Kobe is my favorite player, but MJ is THE GOAT Kobe is runner up and it doesn't matter to me after that who you put on the list.
