I remember Jesse Jackson crying like a baby, on election night. I was right there with him. I'm 65, lived thru the Kennedy assassination ×2, Watergate, the Vietnam War, the space shuttle exploding. I feel a bit like Forrest Gump. Watching Pres. Obama get elected and inauguration was oh so joyful. And he did great! And then, along came Trump. America will survive and thrive once again. Don't lose hope.
@sara-stinabergstedt30193 жыл бұрын
First US black president in history, not the first black president ever. There's been plenty of black presidents in African countries before Obama obviously. Nevertheless I cried watching this thinking how threatened the Biden inauguration is at the moment and how much hope there was then and how much fear there is now. 😥
@kervinfondren92263 жыл бұрын

@@kervinfondren9226 first mixed race president of the United States, do Americans really just classify white & black mixed people as just black? He has a white mother and a black father, why do you not call them White? I'm genuinely asking by the way, over here we'd call them mixed race.
@Patrick-id9uq3 жыл бұрын
@@fuego5532 In the United States, mixed race people are not socially recognized. If you have prodominately black features, you are seen as black, and vice versa foe white features.
