Part IV-This is my edited account, in selected clips, of the events, performances and speeches in honor of Albertina Walker the Queen of Gospel music.
I was in attendance at the West Point MB Church Chicago, where Albertina was eulogized on Friday October 15th 2010, with access to a great view via a good seat.

I don't care how many times I watch this, that transition from singing to talking at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="257">4:17</a> makes me chuckle every time. Love it!

Thanks for sharing. I truly enjoyed Abertina's home going. While viewing I realized that most churches today have lost much of their "Spirituality" in song. The entire service moved me to a time when Christ was first.......

Them Franklins never did mess about you know. And this woman seen too many of em go. And aint no one gonna be able to do the justice for Sis Franklin when she goes like Sis Franklin does for so many of those who've gone along. 05.07 one of them licks only Ms Franklin can drop down on ya make me shiver with the spirit. God is good. She wunt done with the church yet, had ta come back to the mike and praise.

I would like to thank the one who posted this much better & clearer version of the home going!!! Aretha looks sooo good!!!! she looks like the old 'Re..... back in the 90's.....

Just like Ms. Walker, Aretha's singing ability alone has carried her through dimishing range. Not many singers can pull this off. It is TRULY representative of the fact that she is (as Ms. Walker was) gifted to sing by God Himself. Who needs range when you have "it"???

Maybe it's time for Aretha to make another gospel album. Her voice sounds great here, better then what it sounded in the late 80's.
