Now that thing is even better than a fishing boat. It would be nice to see you rebuild the older boat motor. Great job y'all. Keep praising the Lord 🙏.

a trick for lubing those chains is to soak them in a heavy oil such as gl1 get the oil warm (about 150F-175F) and place the chains in the oil with them rolled up standing on the link plates on one side heat the oil into the chains for about 15-30 minutes then proceed to grease them after they have cooled... Every chain I've done this too has lasted 4-5 times longer without rusting and have worn less and mine are used in the snow and salt belt (the oil actually will impregnate itself into the link bushings and pins by doing this). By the way I get the pot I boil the chains in for cheap at the local goodwill or at garage/yard/rummage/etc sales (get one without an anti stick coating such as teflon or remove the coating before boiling the chain)

The boat engine will make it a heck of a lot better on the water.

Extend the seat frame back and reinforce the back seating area welding braces to the frame for support. You could also make a step to get in from the back instead of the sides. Make it like a step to get back into a boat from the water. It slides out and rotates down for use and lift it level and slide back in for storage.

I like the idea for your body reinforcements, I may have to look into that for my magnum. My trans plug looked just like that when I changed mine too, it's nothing to worry about. Great video!

I can tell you all the filings on the drain plug magnet are the teeth on the input shaft slowly eating themselves up. I`ve had a lot of those older style Argo transmissions apart.

You should run the bar all the way around the back,and a Roman numeral 2(Like beside the tank)down to the hitch,inside,to support the torque the engine's going to put on the plastic.Plus,there are allot of burger people going to want a ride at some point.

Interesting extra steel in the frame... I have a 2006 conquest. Last year we bent tge winch frame forwards & damaged ghe plastic by the headlights. I would have taken that 1" right around the whole perimeter. After tjus season I will probably do just this... at ghs moment I have put aircraft cable back from the winch frame to the main ladder frame at a point under gge seat to beef it up...

I know this is an old video so I don't know if you'll even see this comment. I am disabled now but I still love the outdoor's and deer hunting in Michigan. The problem is the place I have hunted for years is a lot of Cedar swamp and I can't go through it or around it anymore. How much do you think I could buy an 8 X 8 Argo with tracks for ? I'm living on my SSI but I'm not afraid to get my hand's dirty fixing something. I know people will say just look on Craigslist or whatever but I see videos of barn find's all the time and just hoping you might have a clue where I could find one like that. Thank You.

I've learned the annoying hard way... you forgot the 3M 5200 (or silicone) for all joints Where water might splash or submerge. I just consider them a boat so I don't forget the marine related considerations.

In my opinion a poor place to put the fuel filter. The tray is for spare parts and tools. Just pop the seat up for access. The Fuel filter is fine under the hood like from stock. Video is great though shows lots.

Just noticed a Argo Avenger 2007 for sale here in New Zealand. On;y 309 kms on the clock, been sitting in a garage for a few years. Thought it was pretty cool but when I looked up the specs just 20bhp and a top speed of 30kms hr or 4km hr on water. I know these things are built for other purposes but why the hell didnt they make it at least 50bhp and speeds of 70kms/hr and ay least 15kms hr on water ??. This is the only thing putting me off buying one

Hi, I know this is not a go cart but I see you guys are experts on go carts. I bought recently a go cart for my kid because it was his birthday. It's a Realtree RTK200 by (Coleman) 196cc. It was working perfectly until a few days ago, we have only put about 4 hours of driving overall in about 6 days I think. On the last day that it worked the car was still turned on but we had decided to stop riding it for the day and as soon as we were going to drive it into our back yard to store..... the accelerator was not responding. So yeah the car just didn't want to move, it just revs like it was going to move but nothing. It just feels like when you have a car parked or on neutral and you accelerate and obviously you won't move. The cart turns on and off every time it just doesn't go no where. If you can offer any advice I'll appreciate it so much. Thanks.

Sounds like a clutch/converter issue, check if your chain is spinning when revved up and if not it definitely is. If the chain is spinning then it could be a key issue between the gear and axle.
@2828play
@2828play 3 жыл бұрын
@@Rattus-Norvegicus Hi, thanks for the reply! I checked the torque converter when I saw a video on you tube and saw that both small and larger wheels have to spin while you accelerate. The bigger wheel squeeze the rubber belt while spinning as I stepped on the accelerator and when I let go of the accelerator it goes back down so that part seems to be fine. You mentioned clutch/converter and the chain not spinning? I did not really focus on the two chains spinning under the engine which should make the wheels turn, I'll go and look at it one more time and see. Thanks for taking your time for the reply again.

I wouldn't use grease on the chains it doesn't get into business end of the chains in between the pins,bushes and rollers you need a specialist chain oil
