The hologram makes these gold bars very difficult for counterfeiters to duplicate. The hologram is very colorful and intricate and makes it much more appealing than the average gold bar out there.

Interestingly, 20g kinebars are exactly same size (height and width) as 1oz apart from being slightly thinner making it my most favourite bars to invest in. They look almost identical as 1oz but are much more affordable while still fabulous looking.

Tip don't wipe the hologram it comes off I used gold polish it came off apart from the argo hereaus around the middle

I had some issues withe expanding my stack of Pamp and Britannia gold bars, because of the hassles of authenticity verification. The Pamp's Veriscan is just a QR and the Britannia's security is purely minting accuracy. Konebar hologram seems a great security verification tool, anybody eants to share thoughts, would you trust kinebars?

Hey there I have a couple of these they’re really cool. I was wondering if you had noticed if the hologram was ruined now that you’ve touched it? The halogram is created from very fine engravings microns thin. I’ve always been scared to open them since it’s 24k soft gold. Honestly I thought it would be ruined the moment any pressure was applied but was surprised it still looked nice but how does it look now?

That is true, I cringed when he touched the hologram, even with those gloves it's going to cause damage to the hologram and it will cause spotting

@@monchosalce yes, it is actually just a laser etching. Only a few microns thin at different intervals. This allows light to split into a prism effect making it have a rainbow appearance. Sadly gold is very soft so if you touch it, it will flatten out the etching impressions and the hologram will fade away

Yes, the hologram is only a few dozen atoms thick and it will be work away fairly quickly is worn or handled

I just picked up a ubs kinebar and the back does seem to have spots, specks and scuffs on the holographic back though it's hard to tell exactly because I haven't taken it out of the packaging, front is flawless though

You may have been a lot better off leaving it in the essay card. Now any imperfections can be seen, and possibly affect the resale value. Never liked bars (except the Canadian Mint bar) very much. Sticking to liquidity...AGE’s.

it's a thin overlay, like ink. If it was ever melted, the ink would burn away

@@Loganmanko like ink, more of an overlay hologram that contains ink. But either way, it's a great security feature & it does not take away from the purity of the bar. I've seen Canadian coins that also have the holograms

It's embossed, it does not take away from the weight of the actual gold... Argor H is some of the best gold you can buy. I love the hologram, so beautiful, never take it out of the package, the resale on these is ridiculous, people will pay way over spot

I never separate the bar from the assay card; not that it will impact resale value much but why tamper with it. Also, how you plan to store that bar now that's its out in the open? NVM, from 2017 you won't reply anyway.

Nice pice! But I really never understood the purpose of wearing gloves when handling Gold/Silver. As long the weight is good I'm good. I don't care about scratches/scuffs of handling it with bare hands.

Yeah, but if you ever sell it, the buyer might care about scratches and blemishes. With a bar that's this beautiful and pristine, you might try and keep it that way.

It’s always been called rich mans gold and historically worth more. Just look at face values on us mint and other bullion stamped for other countries that value is always more. Yeah its low right now because of the diesel scandal….but with more electric cars coming our way it’s gonna be in greater demand. Buy an ounce….see how much smaller it is than an ounce or gold. It’s dense and have some serious heft. Whatever u decide just keep stacking whatever you can’t go wrong. Cheers!
