What did you do from 2018 to 2021 : worked in multiple companies : explained my previous work, what do you now do ? Profile, role Dad: Retired, Ex Indian Navy, Ex Defence Contractor: What do you do now? Retired Where you worked previously? : 18.5 years in Navy and 22 years in Defence PSU What was the job role as CPO in navy ? Do you still have contact with Navy OR on any contract ? Got my visa approved last Friday. Alhamdullilah. Questions were simple and my answers were appropriate and truthful. She first asked me 1- whats your purpose of visiting US? (I said family get togetherh 2- where does your sister live in the US? (I gave her state) 3- where have you traveled before? (Told the 2 countries and reason why, saudia for umrah. Maldives for honeymoon) 4- how long will you be staying? (Only 10 days its a very short trip) And few other very simple questions that were mentioned in my DS160. after that she approved my visa and congratulated. Just be truthful and have a straight forward case. If theres nothing fishy, and you’re confidence they’ll give you visa😊

In 2013, my B-1 visa application was denied, followed by a denial of my F1 visa application in 2022. I had applied for the F1 visa from the country where I completed my undergraduate degree and was employed at the time. Additionally, my mother currently resides in the US under the "withholding of removal" status, and my brother has faced five rejections for a B-1 visa. Now, I have received admission to one of the top universities in the USA and I am considering reapplying for an F1 visa from my home country. Both of my rejections was under 214(b). Given these circumstances, what are the chances of my visa being approved this time?

So I have a few questions: 1- If you have a Graduate Assistantship for 4 years of your PhD program, do you still need to provide a personal or sponsor's bank statement to show sufficient funds? 2- If you've made an entry for the US DV Lottery , can the visao officer see this on the system and will this consitute immigrant intent? 3 - If you've been denied a Canadian study permit, is there a way that the US visa officer can see this and will it also affect your F-1 visa application?

I attended my visa interview as well as the VAC appointments and during the visa interview they checked my documents and sent me directly to the Visa Officer for the interview without checking my finger prints on the day of the interview. But the VO did scan my fingerprints during the interview. After the interview I realized that other students had to verify their fingerprints before as well as during the interview. I am a student applying for F1 visa for the first time. I have never been to the United States before. The VO has approved my visa application but the status on the website is still approved and not issued yet. I am really confused and scared right now as I couldn't find any other cases like this on the internet. It would mean a lot if you could tell me what problems this might cause as well as what I should do.

Thank you very much for such an informative video I have a visa interview coming up this week where my husband and I have taken an appointment for j1-j2 visa. We are doctors from India. My husband has got a postdoctoral research fellowship in USA starting mid-May. Our doubt is should I mention my plan of going to US on J2 and apply for EAD so that I can apply for fellowships too? Although our plan is to come back to India after 2-3 yrs of fellowships, should we mention it at this point or should I just say I'm going there for my husband's moral support. Thank you.

Hello Ben, I am in Africa since 2009. The first time I applied for B1/B2 visa was in 2010 in Africa, and it was refused to say that I should apply for my visa from my home country (India). Now Once again I am planning to apply for B1/B2 visa from Africa, and in the DS-160 application, I have mentioned my last refusal, with no appropriate reason explained. May I know if this time I am asked about why it was refused, what should I say. as it was not explained to me why it was refused or any other appropriate reason.
