Good to see you again my friend. That is some crazy stuff for those prices but if you can do it then go for it. My favorite zoa is the utter chaos zoa. Have always loved them. Had a huge colony until Frankie and Charlette decided to host them. Finally had to cut the 7 or 8 that were left and moved but they have never been the same. Now they host in my torches. Clowns are such clowns I must say! Great video as always!

I like the aoi zoanthid. Blue and yellow pops real well. Bought a frag with 3 polyps and now have a rock covered. They grow insanely fast in high par areas.

Makes sense. Supply and demand. Low amounts for sale, high die rate. Seems really risky but then again it would be fine I’m sure for a pro and pros are willing to spend the money for high end. Great video.

Remi, I would have to agree with Shane. The rarer certain zoas are they come with a steep price point and what the end user will pay for them. The stratospheres are in a class by themselves. 😊

Just bought so many zoas from macna and I definitely missed out on anything like this

So, when are you raffling off a stratosphere for us? Please??? lol. But for real, any suggestions on how to deal with or remove a discosoma and elephant ear mushroom infestation? They are overtaking my system. These suckers are EVERYWHERE. Every surface of rock and along the back wall. And I swear, I am pulling out 2 or three a week that are just free floating around the tank looking for a spot to settle into. Its to the point I'm considering replacing the aquascape to get them out of there, but that doesn't take care of the ones living on the back wall. There is one massive elephant ear that has begun to bubble up like a bounce mushroom that would be nice to keep, but will only lead to the same problem a couple months down the road. Any suggestions from you or the community would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone. And Remy, so good to see you again, can't wait to see the new system you have. Love being blown away with the beauty of salt water corals . I have 9 soft water tanks adding up to over 400 gallons in my living room and one day I will go salt water.

So his “friend” that he was asking about the zoa is one of the sellers that is responsible for the unreasonable raise in coral prices.

Growing like a weed in mine. Threw some away and traded some in for some gsp that's green star polyps and something called xenia. The guy said it pulses and said if your really really lucky. Like really really lucky it spreads. I hope one day it spreads 🙏

I would not dare. I don't know why, but about 50% of Zoa's do amazing in my tank and the other half just dissolve slowly over time.

Best Zoas for me are the following classics, “UTTER CHAOS” & “RASTA”S”

Shane backer back in the day? How about when aqua SD first released it. Shane says he was part of the master krak releases but all Shane did was attach himself to Rudy of golden basket, who has arguably released some of the most high end zoas. Don’t get me wrong Shane has grown into a great retailer but the history of the Strat goes back a lot further!

here in April 2024 its quite easy to find them for as low as $250 pp from retailers and even less from private sellers

I'm in this hobby for 20 years plus and everything I grow out i basically to another reefer or less but never try yo profit off of something someone can enjoy as much as I do.i truly hate and use the word humbly but charging car prices for corals just not my thing. That is what draws new hobbies away. But ay don't buy if its out your price rang good video and informative. 👍

Utter Chaos

Zoas just get me upset in general. You can’t sell 1 single polyp as a frag lol. If you want your customer to have success you gotta give them at least 2-6 polyps lol.

I think with how rare this zoa is the price makes sense. Very few people have it and it's easy to kill. Only farms hoping to grow it out and wealthy collectors will be buying something that incredibly rare. If it becomes easy to aquaculture the prices will drop as supply increases.

I swear I've seen this zoa for less then hundred bucks on ebay
