I’m a professional musician and I can say “Ariana is the best singer in the industry right now” you can listen to her improvisations in the pentatonic scale very typical of jazz and the use of different vocal resources. It shows how much this woman has studied.

some videos make it look like Ariana just sings whistle notes all the time but she is so much more, she has beautiful bass, her runs are really impressive and her musicality and creativity where she always invents new things in her performance

There aren't that many singers with whistle register. Mariah is absolute queen of whistles, Ariana learned whistles by listening to Mariah's records. From this generation singers who have whistle register: Tori Kelly, Jojo, Demi Lovato, Jessie J, Hayley Williams, Normani and Ava Max are some singers i could remember now that have whistle register. Another one is Perrie Edwards from Little Mix, but she used it only once but other girls says she can sing Mariah's song so i believe she can use it if she wants. So there are other singers with whistle registers in this generation but non of them is as proficient in it as Ariana. Only singer i know about that is as proficient in whistles as Ariana is philippines singer Morissete Amon.

I've actually seen her live with her last tour, was lucky to stand barricade in golden circle. I knew that she was even better live, but damn hearing it in person was an insane experience. She is ridiculous. I know many other people who went to her concert, bc she is just known to be crazy good live, and her concerts are fun. Truly recommend anyone to go see her if she goes on tour again.

The fact that she released her first real song in 2011 and I’ve been with her since the beginning of victorious… it’s been about 13 years… not to mention the fact that victorious filming started in 2008 so minus broadway, I’ve seen her progress for almost my whole life since I was born in 2005
