I truly believe wholeheartedly that they were soulmates I think the reason why Ari didn’t feel the need to talk about him in interviews bc she knew it was REAL. She was confident in the love they had. With Pete I feel like she talked about it a lot because she felt like she had to prove they were real and in love, and in reality there was more to it beneath the smiles and pictures. Rest in peace Mac. Really wish you were still with us.

Frankie Theiling addiction ruins even the greatest/deepest relationships. I had a very similar relationship as Ariana and Mac’s but my ex’s substance abuse got in between us and we could never get past it. It was heartbreaking because the love was so deep and real and we were so close. It just goes to show that love is not enough when addiction is involved. ☹️

He was an addict and like most addicts he tried to quit several times and wanted to be clean but addiction is cunning, baffling, and powerful and only someone with addiction issues will understand why he couldn't just stop when he wanted to. Honestly, yes she never wanted to talk about him in interviews, but cmon shes an artist who wanted to talk about MUSIC, and sometimes you wanna preserve the love you have with someone. Not exploit it and spoil things you wanna keep to yourself. Yes, she talked about Pete a lot, but maybe she felt she got so much hate from not talking about her last relationship. As a drug addict myself, Mac is high like a kite almost all the time. For me it's so obvious. Like all of us, he probably had traumas, anxiety & depression. He needed to fill this emptyness. For us, addicts, even love sometime it's not enough... but it helps for sure. I hope he's in a better place. He was such a nice guy. ✨️ Update; after more than a decade of ALL sorts of drug abuse... I'm finally in Recovery! 🙏

they vibed together so smoothly when they were together. obviously every relationship has their up & downs, but as soon as they were together, all that didn't matter. it was a bonus that they had songs together & had a very mutual connection. she did genuinely seem happy everytime together. she posted a lot of them later on because she had gotten comfortable in the relationship enough to expose w/ no shame.

This was honestly just the absolute best Ariana era there has ever been. Her and Mac we happily together (even through their troubles) She release Dangerous Woman which that whole album was just such a summer time vibe She was more active on Snapchat and social media She was in her most iconic era Just the best time, so memorable, I will always cherish and miss this era.

i feel to this day ari is trying to fill that void of mac's relationship/passing. he was so insanely creative and charismatic, and there was definitely chemistry between them at the time. maybe because there was more coverage of their relationship, but it really seemed like they loved each other whole heartedly. it sucks mac passed before he was able to face his demons, he was so young.

I understand why Ariana got annoyed by people asking questions though. They both loved each other but, after a while it will get annoying when people ask about the relationship 24/7.
