moonlight phan The problem with affirmative action, amongst other things, is that people will think 'did she get the job because she's a woman (token woman) or because of merit'? You'll never get rid of this by enforcing affirmative action on businesses. Like that case where a woman failed multiple physical tests to be a firefighter but they still let her pass because she was upset. This is a blatant slap in the face of women that did the work and passed, a slap in the face of men that have to pass more strict tests (and if they fail the male test - but pass the female test they would fail eventhough they would already be more competent than her) and a HUGE risk towards the people she will potentially have to save and, in some cases, won't be able to because she isn't physically strong/fast enough.
