The 40 seconds of silence at the end are to make the song 5:22 which is the date of the Manchester Attack 5/22. Get Well Soon is a song about her having a panic attack. She said she wanted to experiment with her vocals this album and focus on her lower vocals since we’ve all heard her high notes and crazy runs.

nah nah y’all got it wrong, she MET Pete like 3 years ago, but they didn’t start officially “hanging out” until way later. So the song isn’t old and she didn’t write it when she was with Mac. She’s not THAT big of a player😩😂

After Manchester Ariana has devoted her life to making ‘happy impulsive decisions because she never knows what’s going to happen’ and she doesn’t like to ‘think too far into the future’ which is why I think the break up with Mac was quick bc there might’ve been one wrong thing between them which was just an instant break off since she just wants happiness and then she met Pete and they had similar personalities which led her to dating and getting engaged to him quickly since she felt happy with him. It’s all a little bit wacky and I guess we’ll never really know but that’s what I think considering she’s said those things.

In addition, Mac's substance issues had its toll on her. It wasn't "just an instant break off." People need to look at Mac and what HE was doing to cause her to break up with him. It wasn't just "ooo, I met Pete bye."

Core fans have loved it. It’s her most personal album and we can relate since she talks a lot about her mental health/anxiety on breathin and get well soon. Also everytime and better off are great songs with lyrics and meaning where she’s really telling us her feelings.

Love the reaction, but y'all read "sex" into a lot of tracks that simply wasn't there (which is most of the album). Then, y'all thought every song was about Pete including "better off" a song about being better off without him (Mac) and "everytime" which was also about Mac and always going back to a person you shouldn't. Also, "breathin" is about dealing with anxiety not about sex lol

Sweetener is cleeeeeeearly about sex hahah. NTLTC is not only about Manchester, it also talks about staying mentally strong (no tears left to cry, picking it up) hope and optimism in many different situations in life. Borderline is also a romantic and sexual song dedicated to Pete (Someone stated it's cause Pete is Borderline but idk if that's true). Blazed is about loving someone and being with them (I guess Pete again, lol). R.E.M was a song Beyonce and Pharrell created for her "4" album back in the day, a song about love to her daughter Blue Ivy. But she discarded it in the end so Ari kept it (I prefer the collab version of them together, it's fanmade here on youtube, but I would've loved for them to have released that song together tbh, their voices together tho 😍). Goodnight n Go is a cover of Imogen Heap, a love song I guess also for Pete once again 🤪. Oh and Raindrops is also a cover of another song. So beautiful!

You guys are wrong on most songs, She knew Pete but they never hanged out. She was Mac and she was happy but he was toxic being with him. She said that it was hard because she was always babysitting him. And Mac and Ariana are cool she cares for him. But she can’t stay with a person who’s toxic. And she supports. And Ariana never cheated on Mac. I’m not saying Mac did but they’re people who said they’ve seen Mac cheat on Ariana. But I don’t know what happened it’s not true or false. So yeah she never cheated, and Mac & Ariana are cool. And to the dude who says about he was expecting high vocals. She doesn’t have to do high vocals. Been a fan of hers since 2010. Got to know her very well I can confidently say that she deserves everything she's earned. She's a hard worker and a true talent. So proud. I'll update my comment as I go through the vid lmao. She actually finished most of her album, especially the ones with Pharrel (REM, Blazed, Successful, The Light is coming, Sweetener, Get Well Soon) THEN she went to her usual producers, scrapped a few songs and made the rest of her album. Lmao so I believe none of the songs are specifically about Pete or Mac besides Pete's song. Breathin is 100% my favorite off the album. Nah bro she wrote the song after they started talking not after she met him 3 years ago lmfaooo ya'll can't be spreadin fake news out here like this. He was in a celebrity roast I forgot who. Think it was Justin idk. The general consensus I've been seeing is that people think Pharrel's production didn't really mesh well with Ariana's voice and style. I think she did a good job venturing out of her comfort zone and when the album shines it really shines.

Ariana broke up with Mac because it became a toxic relationship where there was too much stress with Ariana having to deal with Mac's sobriety issues especially since she had severe anxiety and trauma after the Manchester event.

She was single when she was on SNL.She dated Mac miller after.She meant she wrote the song after they started hanging out not when they met.Ariana saw Pete Davidson like 2 years ago but didn't really talk to him.She asked him if the tatoo on his arm was a harry potter tattoo and he said "yeah" and that was it.

Dude you're right.I went back to the old days and she was with Ricky.The reason I didn't remember was because when she was on SNL I was wondering if Ariana liked Pete because he was kind of cute,me basically not giving a fuck about Ricky lol.I pretty much predicted Ariana was gonna like and be with Pete 3 years ago. Weird shit I know.What's funny is how the fandom is same way now with Pete as when they were with Ricky because of the Manchester joke.

I’m a core fan and the song “ get well soon “ got me very emotional cause it’s like dealing with anxiety and it got me thinking about the bombing that happened in Manchester and how she cares about her fans and how she felt in that time god is a a woman and successful makes me feel empowered her vocals are amazing , and breathin I can really relate cause I’ve dealt with anxiety you just got to remember to breathe sometimes but I really enjoyed watching this video 😊

Colleen Ballinger (aka the woman who plays Miranda Sings) is a vocal coach and has trained Ariana for a few years some years ago. They would also hang out together a lot because they became good friends. There's tons of videos of them together etc.

Ive been a fan of Ari since Victorious and watching her do videos with her boyfriends and covers with Liz Gillies so I can say although her approach is different and she has matured a lot, she is still Ari. She's honest and swaggy as hell. It was like hearing Taylor Swift's Reputation album; it sounded different but she was still herself. They fell inlove in the middle of some really bad shit happening in their private lives. The end results were vibey, positive and mature. As a fan I am still so proud of them both and I love the albums, even if others think they messed up.

the song pete davidson was the last to be recorded and added to sweetener, after she broke up with mac. it was probably somewhere between june and july (2 months into dating pete) that she made the song
