She really only lifted the pitch of her voice and spoke quite softly for that character. She didn’t change the actual tone which can strain vocal chords. Although imitating other voices isn’t as damaging as yelling or screaming as those things are very straining.

" and no I don't have singing lesson I trained myself and if you wants to sing in front of people but you are scared cause people looks at you, you imagine that you are in your favourite places and start singing and my singing trick is 1. Stand up (this is how you can control your singing) 2. Control breathing 3. Find you voice ( you can drink water if you have to) 4. Patience 5. Don't shout ( shouting can make it sound cracky instead of smooth and flow) 6. Practice

So … her vocal technique was simply ‘singing a lot’ ???! That’s literally the OPPOSITE of what most ‘vocal coaches’ say to do. Yesterday I watched a video of someone’s 10 year transformation - they literally started out sounding like a dying cat, and ten years of voice lessons later sound smooth and have much improved tone. That video was SO INSPIRING!! Today, I watch Ariana Grande basically say “I’d didn’t train much, I just sang a lot” …. which was what I did all the time in my teens …. and I feel like quitting again 🙃😝
@ShawnFumo2 жыл бұрын
She probably just naturally had a relaxed technique, which let her sing a lot and practice without hurting herself. Plus probably influenced by other broadway singers at the time, even if it wasn't conscious. She's certainly had vocal coaches too, though, later on. It isn't healthy to compare that way. Just get any help that you need and keep practicing. People have different paths to the same place..

Only time will tell for her actual vocal stamina, but I will say a few habits she has that could affect her voice later down the road (from a background in vocal pedagogy) is a LOT of breathiness, lots of jaw movement, and a head that is not always properly elevated, meaning whenever I watch her sing or perform her head is tilted up higher than it should be, which can cause major tension. She has a big voice and maybe even lot of potential to even sing in other styles, but vocal health and habits are what singers must be wary of.
