Today I got the rare opportunity to go inline skating outside and inside Tysons corner shopping mall! I almost got caught by the security guards but I had a ton of fun roller skating through the area, please do not try this at home! I wasn't allowed to rollerblade but I did anyways and almost got in trouble so please do not try this. I got to do a ton of tricks outside the mall before hand so I hope you enjoy. There’s something about the way you skate that is so glorious. I have been “skating” for a while, but only when my family wants to go to a roller rink. I am starting to skate outside and around my town and it’s really fun. Cant wait to get as good as you.

Daniel Vázquez Guevara thanks again I just saw your tweet! I’ve been skating for about 6 years and I try to get out there everyday. The big thing for me is I learned from quad skaters at the skate rink so my flow is a lot different than most people who ride Inlines. I wish you could see what it looks like when I’m really flowing because these videos I’m holding a camera the entire time 🤣

I think it's disadvantageous skating being so tall, security can spot you so easily. Bold skate colors can easily attract attention too even when you're just standing still. Nice vid though. You're pretty agile too even when not using hockey techniques.

I think because of the glass windows it's not really welcomed. If everyone skated in the mall if someone crashed into glass it could be fatal for thr skater and bystanders. So I think that's why. Nkw, if there was a space in the mall, like a wing or a suite to skate in like a vacant store or something. That should be allowed dor limited numbers of people. Maybe have reservation slots or something for a certain number of people to pay to do that. I'd go. Would be cool. Some rinks are crowded and cost way too much. Would live to skate at a mall.

I had a aggressive skates 15 years ago. I'm starting again with a 3x110mm skates and it's quite difficult. My skating muscles are gone. Anyway... still training again.

Hey sorry it took me so long to respond but I really like to recommend flying eagle skates because they are not super expensive and great quality. You shouldn’t have to worry about wheels too much but my go to have always been the Labeda asphalt grippers!

What kind of skates are those? I just got macroblade 80’s but I haven’t skated in 20yrs. Wanted the Twister Edge or Poweline Next 80’s but all the hard shell boots in size 11 are sold out. My wheels are 80mm/82a so relatively soft… especially compared to the wheels as a kid they felt almost plastic but never wore out

Yeah skated are super hard to get right now unfortunately but mine are the FR1 skates! I use 85a wheels which are kinda soft but I think they work great 😁🦑

Lol those officers were walking with some purpose! They must have been ready to take you down to stop you! XD They need to get some skates hahaha. I have been in this mall a few times, but that was before I started blading and everything, so I wasn't busting a nut thinking about skating through it like I would now LOL. The one major mall that I REALLY would love to skate through due to its simple, wide, and smooth layout, is the Arundel Mills Mall. I believe it is the biggest mall in Maryland, and the layout is literally just a HUGE oval with wide, smooth walkways! It would be so worth getting kicked out to go in there and do the loop just once. XD And unlike this one, it isn't confusing at all to find an exit! I was thinking how lucky you were to find that exit so quick!

It took me a really long time to finally get the courage to go into a parking deck, even though it was always at like 4 or 5am when literally no one is there at all. XD I get too nervous and feel like my heart is going to explode! But now I just go right in there, since no one has ever said anything to me there, at least not at the times I go. But the mall surfaces are just....yeah, I want to skate in one really bad. XD

So it's funny to pick it back up at 35 and have this skill I don't remember learning. Aside from backwards crossovers. But super glad I'm getting back into it. Didn't realize I missed it so much.

Kxnjiro Editz yooo! My skates are actually the original Seba fr1 but the brand split up a few years ago. The new brand just goes by FR now. They aren’t identical but they are pretty much the same! 😁🦑

When researching and finding that brand at first i got so excited as Fr or Fr was the coolest rollerblading brand in the 90's at least on the east coast growing up in New York. I was wondering if this brand was paying homage or just blatantly disrespecting and erasing the history of another aggressive inline brand with the same name. I still have my classic YOUR WHEELS SUCK Fr shirt. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Well in America you can sue for anything so if you get hurt people could take advantage of it. Kinda stupid but that’s the way it is. Also it would mess up the floor if everyone was doing it all the time.

With a little consideration for each other, nowhere should be forbidden to skate. I often shop with skates, which is no problem at the small greengrocer around the corner. But at high speeds people react with panic and want to evade, often to where I want to pass, both react and on the other side it is running out. It is also forbidden to skate in train stations or trains here. But that's exactly how I came to work for years, was never a problem because I didn't bother anyone.

@@Skating_Squidyes exactly and that is not even all options. Enjoying a snack and drink while skating is much more convenient than on a bike. And later glide around the trash can while throwing in the trash couldn't be more elegant than on wheels.

@@Skating_Squid nice! They look smooth and fast. And I love the colors. I come from an aggressive skating background but stopped for a while. Now I’m 40 with kids lol, but my girl is really interested in skating so it gives me an excuse to get some new skates. I really want something like what you have but with enough soul area to slide across stuff every now and then. I think a hybrid of aggressive and flow skating would look so amazing.
