A tittle shot off beating Anthony doesn’t sound like enough. Anthony hasn’t been fighting like he’s in his prime and isn’t ranked in the top 5 with wins..

@@LincolnMathetes he got that tittle shot because yuri got hurt and the next contenders were already scheduled. UFC gave Jamal a short notice offer and he made the best of it.. Jamal wasn’t originally in line for that shot.

Are we really asking this? Of course Khalil shouldn't get a title shot! He looked silly even asking for one. Fans are not clamoring to see him vs Alex like he claimed. The guy has been smoked by scrubs like Ion and that's not MMA math. It's levels! There are more deserving guys in that division who are better and even more fun to watch vs Alex. Khalil is one of the most out-of-touch fighter's I've heard. You even heard him lose confidence when discussing it in his post fight presser. Claiming that the fight "makes sense" when it absolutely doesn't. He just cracked the top 10.

You're right, but do you really expect a 205 fighter in his position to get in front of the cameras and say "I don't want a title shot"? That would be even worse than saying you do want one

Why can't Khalil Rountree be in the title picture, Ariel? Really? He hasn't "paid his dues" just because he's been in the UFC a while. If that's your argument then Jim Miller deserves a title shot! That's not how titles shots are earned. How do you even cover this sport? Alex was fast tracked because of his KB wins over Izzy but he also beat Sean and beat Jan get earn those title shots. He didn't lose to bums like Khalil has. Khalil has just 1 top 10 win in his entire career! Khalil's win streak is not against top caliber guys and he's lost to guys who aren't even ranked. Terrible comparison, Ariel.

The real reason is bc he hates Jamal Hill.. The list is growing of fighters who refuse to do his show, so he picks a few fighters to try and hype up and if they win he acts like it’s all his doing{Leon, Chito, etc) Ariel doesn’t care about any of these guys. Only about himself in typical weasel fashion

I like the apex.., the fights there with no crowd making noise is crazy entertaining, I hear and feel every shot people take in ther it’s crazy good to watch and feel like the actual pain, I train mma and it feels like it makes them dig hard since there’s no distraction or people watching or making noise

No he doesn’t even come close to deserve a shot…. Yes he is on a streak but only bc he got sent back down the rankings the last time he got a ranked fighter. Walker and hulk both kod him…. He should be 2 fights away vs top opposition

Khalil is on a solid win streak, is super likeable, has a fan friendly style, and has been in the UFC for a long time. Not sure how anyone can hate on him for inserting himself into the title conversation. Even if he doesn't get his shot, he has at least positioned himself for a potential number one contender match. He has my support 100%

Come on man, there’s literally Jamahal Hill waiting for a shot. Then you’ve got Walker v Ankalaev. Not to mention Rakic vs Jan or Jiri

@@angussimpson9717 Hence why he said he positioned himself for a possible contender match - not for the belt itself. Ankalaev, Jan and Jamal are the only ones with a claim to the belt right now. Walker could make a claim if he beats Ankalaev. The clear nr 1 contender is Jamal but he has a severe injury that will keep him out for a good while still so someone else is going to get that title shot. There are others ahead of him but at the same time Khalil would only need to get one of those and win and suddenly he is nr 2. It really depends a lot on how long the Jan and Jamal remain injured. We are going to get a nr 1 contender after Walker vs Ankalaev but Khalil could well have a claim to get the loser OR get the match against Rakic now when Jan is injured

He uses Alex getting a shot at MW. The reason Alex got it cause 1. He has history with Izzy, Strickland was 4th and took the fight and Alex flatlined him, and Izzy had beaten Whittaker 2x, Vettori 2x, and Cannonier... Alex JUST got crowned and you still have Hill and the winner of Walker vs Ankalaev who also would be deserving of a title shot. Beating Smith in 2022 does not get you title shot... Ankalaev and Rakic didnt get one... why should Khalil? Also we forgetting he got gifted a decision against Jacoby? Cmon man this show is so pathetic sometimes

@@Work782 let me tell you an unknown secret. Song Yadong cried very sadly when his good brother Sumudalji was submitted an hour before the game. You should have been able to see his eyes crying when he came on the field. It was swollen, as if he had just woken up. He also said in the live broadcast after the game that it made him lose focus. He wanted to win the game in the safest way for his brother, so he played very passively. This is not him. style, Gutierrez wouldn't have survived to the final round if his brother hadn't been on a card with him

Ariel its because you are biased. DC is trash on the booth. Smith is awful as well. Almost all the fighters terrible. Mma commentary compared to the other big sports show the massive differences
