The spirit bomb only working on evil natured people no longer applies according to DBS, hence why it was used against Jiren. Also, if they didn't want to use that, then the super dragon fist would have been enough. Goku got hit with the same attacks that supes used by super 16, Jiren, Hit, Majin Buu (super buu version) and Lord Beerus. Hell, I even forgot that Broly has done worst than that and Goku got back up. And Superman tends to get slower the harder and longer the fight goes and does not heal. (Doomsday, Dark Side, Black Adam and etc. )

About Superman, the animated version from TV series it's a Weaker version but he's listed with 15x faster than Light Flying Speed, nanosecond reaction Time, large planet to multiplanet strength level, and can tank entropy bombs with enough power to destroy at molecular level. So even that Superman could hurt snd beat a ssj3 Goku essily. The comic version Is above multiversal level at His strongest form

@@Dnizzle25 That's actually a huge misconception. The problem is, DBZ vs DC characters well... DC is in truth for all it's worth characters are amazing but they are boring. Superman is basically God, they can't make no games for him, they had to create doomsday just to be able to .. put him into a coma, and all this stuff. But DBZ set a concept of what island, continent, world destruction power was really like way back when anime was just really kicking off in Western world. DBZ continue to make new series but with like all new works (movies comics etc.) new characters are created, and those who haven't been retcon, or remade etc. Will get old and weak compared to new heroes. Saitama from One Punch Man for example, as much as I believe he is a joke character he technically by design can destroy all the DBZ heroes. Superman as well can destroy 90% of them, you also have characters like Dr. Manhattan and such. It's just Goku is so beloved by the world (and I mean in a literal term) compare to Superman who hasn't really age well, that you will get a majority of people making videos of Superman losing cause like I stated he is boring.

Death Battle deliberately downplays Goku for the controversy it creates. Technically, Goku should have won the rematch, and possibly the original fight as well. But they used Rebirth Superman, who has the powers of all other versions of himself, instead of any specific timeline version of him. So Goku would have a very hard time fighting him. However, the skill edge and raw power go to Goku, who is capable of shaking infinite voids, just by powering up. Superman has never shown to shake infinite realms before. It also takes time for him to "break the bounds of infinity", time Goku wouldn't give him. Also, in a neutral arena, with no yellow sunlight, Superman has no real advantages against Goku. But the arena they used was Earth, which did have the sun. As a result, Superman was constantly being healed and powering up during the fight. Goku would have been pressed to end the fight quickly, because of the risk of drawing out the fight.

First of all, you guys always over exaggerate this. Goku never almost got killed by a gun. It was a small bruise because Goku’s ki was powered all the way down. Secondly, that scene wasn’t even canon. It was a filler scene in the show.
