Theres next to no latency on an arcade cabinet when compared to a modern hd tv or monitor so the game feels much more responsive, ontop of that the filter they use on the screens of arcade cabinets and oldschool crt tvs rounds out the corners of the pixels making everything look smoother. Thankfully the sf 30th anniversary collection has the option to turn on an overlay that simulates the old arcade cabinet screen filters making the game look almost identical to the arcade version, the way its meant to look. If you want to play the game without buying a cabinet play the 30th anniversary edition on a monitor with super low latency and a good arcade stick, its the closest you can get to the real thing, its the best version of the game outside of arcades.
