The prelude you talked about near the end, is actually more important than it seems. Edit: Now that I think about it, there's actually at least 3 things that foreshadow the future in this episode.

While Jinwoo's survival during the knight waves was certainly due to plot armor, it was not due to System making an immediate decision to save him by sending him to the Penalty Zone. It was telegraphed at the beginning of episode 11 when Jinwoo states that he forgot to do his physical training. Later on in 11, we see a clock approaching midnight in the flash-over to his sister making late-night sandwiches. When midnight came, he was sent to the PZ, which would have happened wherever he happened to be.⬅ And that event didn't just save his a**. It added 4 hours to the job quest clock to judge how much extra hi might earn toward a higher-level class. At a guess, not even the strongest would be expected to last more than 10 minutes before they needed to use the teleportation stone. Jinwoo clocked in almost 4 and a half hours. I don't think he even needed those other 3 bonuses to earn the right to the upgrade Necromancer to Shadow Monarch.

mid anime!! didn't do justice to the source material! Episode 12 was supposed to be the best of all, especially the "arise" scene, but it feels like nothing; it's very meh! I was hyped before episode 12 aired because I thought Jinwoo from the anime would at least say the word "arise" in English with much more conviction and clarity, like a boss; that would surely send chills down my spine, but no, it feels nothing, to be honest. Solo leveling is what introduced me to the world of Manhwa; it's one of my favorites, and it's the first one that I subscribed to with money to a legal site to be able to read it, a sign of respect to the authors and artists who made it, but sadly, the anime did not do justice to it. What a disappointment! Too many filler scenes-that's so irritating!
