The Senegalese president should be smart and benefit from both side of the isles . Be the mediator for ecowas and also provide the necessary seaport for AES . ‘Recalcitrant’ is the adjective you use when talking about wayward children. This gentleman examplifies on precise terms what is wrong with the Nigerian elites. His basic assumption that ‘anti imperialism’ is what drives the decision making of the AES countries is the biggest flaw in his analysis. This leads him to draw wrong conclusions. These leaders are motivated by the lack of independence & sovereignty. The consequences are that they do not control their own state, it’s territory, their natural resources & decision making about their own future. It’s from this that all other challenges such as extreme levels of poverty, unemployment, insecurity, etc, emerge. Adopting an anti imperialist stance is thus a by product of reclaiming their independence & sovereignty.
