Zain what I learnt from your story is that humanity and humaness is beautiful, without this story how will I ever think Zain Asher has anything to do with Africa not to talk about Igbo. Never judge a book by its cover is a real statement, and discrimination of all sorts is just a mere factor that destroys our humanness. God bless you Zain and keep you and your family together and safe for ever, nwanne-madu!

You must be very ignorant to refer to any high flier from the Zoo as a Nigerian. There is no such Nigerian anywhere. They are either Biafrans, Oduaa or from the great Benin Empire. There is nothing like Nigeria. It is the British Scam and shall remain so a billion years if we fail to get our various countries back from those that ceased it by force and went ahead to put us in a contraption and gave the keys to the Fulanis so that it will be easier for the to continue to exploit us till thine kingdom come!

One thing I discovered about Nigeria, is that Nigerians are formerly closely knitted. As is an Ibo or Yoruba family grew and had all their children and lived their lives in the North. Same thing with the northerners lived in the south without any fear of any sort. Until these bastard, criminal politicians came to the scene, everything turned upside down.. As tho democracy is a curse than blessing. God will judge you people even from the earth. 2023 must mark diff.

Bc we're living in a dynamic and technologically advancing world,look at this one, their religion encourages many wives and progeny, then what do we do to provide jobs for the teeming population? Bc family planning is not on their minds, but only to produce almajirii children everywhere without looking after their welfare and future☺☺ that's a time bomb dt will consume everyone in the near future if the situation is not nipped in the bud

That's what the Igbo has become. So you chose Zain for Zainab ( an Hausa/Fulani) name and added Asher from the Bible; but Ejiofor - your father's name and the only name in this world that carries your identity should go to hell. This explains why the Igbos remain glorified slaves despite having people in so many high and important places and institutions in this world. Their " Igboness" means absolutely nothing to them.

Fulani do not run Nigeria. They are not well educated to run Nigeria. Most Fulani's are poor as hell. Every tribe in Nigeria is responsible for the mediocrity. Stop making igbo people look stupid qith these comments. Nobody in Nigeria with a brain wants to break Nigeria up.
@eddieokojie5425
@eddieokojie5425 2 жыл бұрын
@@wayneb8245 From personal experience, some of the best people I’ve encountered are the Fulani. They are kind, humble and accommodating. Agreed, though I’m yet to meet them, some of them may actually be prejudiced and bigoted, just like every ethnic group has them. Our unique problem is that Buhari fell into the latter group. And the sad irony is that he became the president of Nigeria with such horrible philosophy. I think in a bid to raise a phantom superiority profile for his ‘beloved’ Fulani everywhere across the Sahel, he’d have caused such great harm to them, eventually. Because these are wandering pastoralists, who are in most need for accommodation that can only be provided by local host communities. Some of them bought into his ideology. Who will ever harbour them now with the recent atrocities they committed against host communities in Nigeria. I’m still tempted to ask, for the umpteenth time, what actually changed the psyche of the average traditional Fulani we used to know? Are they even the same people we used to know? Is it the firearms they had access to and now carry with impunity? I’m genuinely interested in the answer to these questions. Because I’m seriously befuddled by how things have quickly changed in Nigeria. Can a group of people change so fast in their collective mindset?. Was Buhari only playing out a collective script that has always been secretly held? I’m tempted to agree or disagree on many issues raised here, but I’m ill equipped with relevant information or facts to back them. More reason I need help to clear my confusion. But thankfully, it seems to me, the group spoiling to annex and incorporate Nigeria into the Caliphate has realised the futility of their very tall ambition. Nigeria was too big a mouthful to chew, not to mention swallow. Hence, a recent discernible trajectory at retracing steps. Seems all those sabre-rattling by Fulani irredentist, manifesting in various unscrupulous groups is dying down. You can’t run Nigeria with just one approach, force of arms and permanently stamp out all oppositions. Running Nigeria successfully requires loads of other initiatives in this modern era. Those who had the temerity to think such have been thoroughly exposed now. To their chagrin, they discovered that they lack the capacity to stand the kitchen heat; intellectually savvy, a deep knowledge and understanding of the modern information order and how it functions and the confidence that comes with it, amongst many others. What about the impunity and Clannishness that Buhari visited on Nigeria? The rest of the country must join hands to uproot all the masquerades he erected to entrench mediocrity across every facet of the Nigerian project. Otherwise, no decent fresh air of transparency, openness, fairness, accountability, honesty and other pillars of best practices will ever circulate in public service institutions in Nigeria. Buhari has done more to destroy the social fabric of Nigeria than all the past heads of state put together. And it’ll take a long time to heal the country! Bear with me for the longish essay. It was meant to give proper context to my submission. Hope you have the patience to read.

@@eddieokojie5425 I don't think the Fulani people ever had a plan to takeover Nigeria. Maybe a small minority had fantasies of a Northern Caliphate but they soon found out that the Hausa people don't generally like them as well. Think the reason for the Atrocities committed by Fulani's in the past few years as to do with the fact that most Fulani's are poor uncivilized wandering people. The took up arms to protect themselves because of how they were treated and killed in Neighborhood Burkina Faso. And the arm was supplied by Organizations like Mariti Allah A lot of them migrated to Nigeria the Nigeria because of the money in Nigeria anigeria and because they thought they would have a better life and better opportunities. What didn't realize is Nigeria is a lot more sophisticated than majority of West African countries And there uncivilized manner Was vastly unwelcomed . But I think they have now realized that Nigeria is not a place to mess with. I think they're realized if they kept going in the way that they did what would happen to them would be would be worse than what happened to the tuti's of Rwanda. Nigeria is too big and the people are too smart for one group of people to run Nigeria. A lot of Fulani leaders had a plan to bring and unite all the Fulani's of West Africa and settle them in Nigeria but they're vastly mistaken if they think they could do that. I think the Fulani leaders need to unity and settle there people in the country Mauritania If they keep wandering in different West African countries as they do now they will never be welcomed and might face annihilation. A country like Nigeria Is way too populated and established with different tribes to settle the Fulani people. Mauritania is perfect for the Fulani people, it has a very low population, lots of land to build and roam, a vastly uneducated population and gives them a place they can finally Comfortably call home. If the Fulani people in Nigeria want to stay and do business in Nigeria they need to realize they need to create ranches instead of roaming with their cows.. They need to realize they will make more make more money being organized in ranches than keep Roaming. It's 2022 you can't keep a Roaming with cows in this model the image and not expect to cause trouble.

Must a name continue to be an albatross on your neck if you cannot progress with it. C’mon, this is 21st century, let’s stop dissipating energy on irrelevant subjects in Africa! Some people were born, called and raised Bush, and they produced a huge lineage of powerful political figures in America. I’m sure some people would want to be called Bush now, even in Nigeria, just to have the secret of that Talisman contained in that name and what’s capable of attracting, rub off them. Still believe names carry such weight?

It is a disgrace ...African Americans lost their culture in slavery ...many try to Africanize their names. You are born with culture and because of inferiority complex u dump your name.

You are not really connected to Igbo if you completely obliterate any trace of Igbo in your name. Disgraceful.

@@1004445 Your name is the most visible identifier of any one and their connection to a culture. Taking an Hausa first name and a Bible last name , to me smacks of shame about her culture. People watching her on CNN will never connect her to Igbo at all. To me, she is not Igbo. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Oby Ezekwesili, represent Igbo not this Zain lady. And her Igbo is not even good. Her tone is off.

@@okorojnr Although I disagree with your view, I respect it. I am sure she has an Igbo name also, apart from her original last name (as we Nigerians like to give our children many names😜😜😜). There are many Igbo people in the diaspora that would proudly tell you their “ Oyinbo” names first before the others🤔.

@@1004445 Mental colonialism to me is way worse than anything else. Giving your kids the name of your oppressors to me is slave mentality. And Africa will NEVER develop with such mindset.
