Mark gives us all a lesson about being the coolest person on stage. Everyone else is going crazy, and he's cool, calm and collected. As if It's just another Tuesday. R.I.P. Lanegan, the epitome of underrated and influential.

Saw him live with quotsa in 2003 in a festival with rhcp headlining. wasn't even much of a quotsa fan until then, amazing!
@berthaschwarze67042 жыл бұрын
Same. I knew Kyuss and was a big grunge fan but this gig changed my life. I was more curious because of Josh’s kyuss background. Also Dave was amazing on drums. I think Rhcp headlined there too that year.
@bimbobaggypants48202 жыл бұрын
@@berthaschwarze6704 It was Joey Castillo on drums but Nick Oliveri was still in the band. I didn't even know who Mark was until my friend told me he used to be in Screaming trees. I hadn't been much of a music fan until about 2000 so i was still learning about bands.
@berthaschwarze67042 жыл бұрын
You jumped straight into the best of music thank god. You‘re right, 2002 was Dave and next tour was Joey on drums. Good times.

Never realized what a super cool front man Lanegan was until recently. The way he just stands there; totally bad-ass. He never really grabbed my attention back in the day, mostly because the Trees didn’t do it for me; but I see now why he had such a giant reputation. He was a legit artist who knew what he was doing and treated the craft of singing and writing with dignity and respect. RIP - a few days later / I keep watching this / it’s one of the most epic rock and roll live recordings I’ve ever seen / in my top 12 anyway. The power of the band - and Lanegan just standing there feeling it - wow. My favourite QUOTSA line up on stage. Props to Joey Castillo tho

I seriously think this is one of the greatest vocal performances I’ve ever seen. Imagine standing there; with Dave Grohl at his most intense since- and Josh Homme, Nick O and Troy raining the hammer of the gods of thunder behind you - and you’re the eye of the hurricane channeling it all and slaying it with that pissed off Irish scrapper face haha. The way he growls ‘ if you’re hanging arounnnnd ‘ -/ Unbelievable. Hats off Mark Lanegan .
