Despite several key turnovers the Seahawks clawed their way to another important win. Sometimes you just have to win ugly and Seattle did that today with solid defense when it counted.

The Seahawks red zone offense is still concerning, and Geno's decision making is slowly making me worry, but the Defense is looking really good now! If the offense can just be healthy overall and Geno just stay calm and collected this team should be a major threat.

I have been a West Virginia football fan since I lived there 1n 1988. I cannot believe I am still seeing Geno Smith still not only playing, but playing at an incredible level. I will never forget how Geno and the Mountaineers absolutely dismantled Clemson 70--33 in 2012. No team has ever scored 70 points in any bowl game. Way to go Geno!!

The Joshua Dobbs run for a TD is the same kind of play he used to do at Tennessee. If the receiving corps weren't doing it, he would do it with his legs. But when he was here, he was an average QB at best. Especially in the calibre of play expected in the SEC.

Seattle Offense was again not effective when it mattered and the defense again came in to close the game up. But one question for the rest of the 12’s. Can Pete Carroll have a Seahawks team one season where both the Offense AND Defense are consistent during the same season? That would be great.

Props to Pete Carroll for building this successful team with almost nothing. I mean they could spend a lot of money on their offensive team or at least buy a superstar quarterback as Russel Wilson’s replacement but they used their backup quarterback and it really works. Only a wise man like Carroll could manage something like that.

I actually like Seattle's offense a lot more without DK. You can actually see Geno making reads and hitting spots of the field he typically doesn't. That said, he was still typical Geno as far as starting hot, then disappearing when they need him the most. Also, congratulations to K9 on his first 100 yard game this season. It's criminal how he doesn't get the rock more.

This could have easily been a blow out performance from the hawks.

If anything I'm happy that the defense is improving as that is always a big struggle for Seattle. A win is still a win, I hope to see their hard work shine next week against the Browns 👏

Geno gave up a bad sack, had a fumble and threw that ill advised throw that was picked off at the 1. He looked very upset and I think he'll learn from this. Need a better performance against the Browns who are a very solid team. Then it's the Ravens...

Don't look now but we're a half game back of the 'Niners. We really need Geno to level up his discipline and cut down on red zone turnovers. Field goals are really important opportunities in close games like this, we can't afford to squander points in a defensive battle. That said, the offense continues to be able to march down the field and that's encouraging, this feels like a fixable problem. Red zone playcalling could use some improvement also, we should almost never run two similar plays back-to-back unless there's a clear mismatch to exploit.
