Arizona Elk Hunt - S06E08 - The Mountain Project

After Nick fills his Arizona rifle elk tag, Chase still has a bull to find. Midway during the hunt, however, he gets called back to Texas to attend the funeral services of a dear friend and mentor, leaving him only a few days to fill his tag.

First, thank you all for watching! Second, I shot that bull in the front shoulder. The 195 grain Berger sent a shockwave up to his spine (which happens when you hit something hard in the shoulder) and instead of running 100 yards and expiring, it thrashed around a minute while it expired. The shot was only 90 yards which is why we walked up so quickly. Third, I appreciate your comments about Rusty. He was a great man.

Great video! Sorry to hear about your loss. I think all of us hunters can relate to being grateful for those that were kind and patient enough to teach us this great sport. I was blessed with great mentors and now enjoy teaching Arizona youth hunting ethics and conservation....probably more than my own hunts anymore. Appreciate the great videos!

First off sorry for the loss of your friend. It's hard to get back into things when you have something like that happen. We don’t use BRS frequencies. But yes, a couple of us do have license. Wide open- several miles Obstacles- not very far
