Everything bad about USC was on full display tonight. The terrible defense that can’t stop a light breeze along with an offense that struggled most of the night to score (though it’s worth noting that Zachariah Branch didn’t play). This team can lose to literally any other top 25 team because of their defense. And by that logic, they’re gonna beat Notre Dame next week because that’s just how this works for some reason.

Coach Riley looks like he's gonna waste Caleb Williams' tenure at USC with a sub-standard defensive coordinator who's been exposed as the program's weak link. Just as Riley did with his high powered offenses at Oklahoma. The Trojans can score with anyone, but their defense has proven they are simply not national championship material. I doubt they even win the conference.

An an Oklahoma fan I have to say that initially we were all really pissed at what Riley did and for taking Grinch with him. Now that OU is 6-0 coming off of a big win against TX and we are in prime position to make the college football playoff and watching USC give up 40 points to a weak AZ team and clearly showing that Riley can't field even a decent defense I'm glad he's gone. Riley proved at OU that even with 3 NFL starting QBs that he couldn't even win one playoff game.

Decades ago when Miami was on a roll, Sports Illustrated did an article on their success based on interviews with persons at the school. I'll summarize it. 1. Coaching. Hire a proven winner. It's not time for learning on the job. 2. Offense. Recruit the best quarterback you can find. 3. Recruiting. Recruit speed. The guy who's a bit smaller but a half step faster is preferred. 4. Stress Defense. You should be able to win most of your games scoring 17 points. Apparently, USC isn't hip to point 4.

Arizona had several chances to go for the win. I'm not complaining because I live bet USC when the Trojans were down 17-0, but I was definitely worried that Arizona would go for the two after the first TD in overtime. I don't think USC would have stopped them at that point.

Noah Fifita was amazing. Redshirt freshman and only his second game after last week against Washington. The interception was bad but the rest was really good for such a young player. He's an exciting player to wach. I think he can make some noise in College Football the next few years.

Well, I haven't watched US all year, just these highlights. Caleb, didn't see any plays demonstrating NFL skill, just wide open receivers and running, which will get you injured in the NFL. Their team overall sucks. That Wildcat Coleman is a beast.

Agree USC’s defense is not up to par, but did you guys watch the game? USC got in to trouble because the offense couldn’t get going. Credit to Arizona. But I have to scrutinize the play calling. When they’re dropping back 7 defenders in coverage you have got to run the ball. I don’t know why it took that genius Lincoln Riley until the fifth offensive possession to realize that. USC should’ve been pounding Marshawn Lloyd against that look. The defense (and Arizona’s freshman quarterback) let us back in to the game with that terrible out route interception. My other question is what happened to USC’s offensive line? That was a hyped unit coming in to the season and in both this game and the Arizona state game they were incredibly underwhelming against inferior competition. Need to fix that or the goons in these comments are right. I don’t think USC is a playoff team.
