this is amazing. Thanks for this gold. I LOVE ARK, maybe my favourite progressive band of all times. sOs underrated that it hurts...but so special that heals and elevates my soul. This proves me that the truth in this world is not about big numbers..is about love and I LOVE ARK. THANKS.

Thank you so much for this, i was at this show with a friend. Never thought I would see this again. It was unbelievable then and still it is now. ARK forever rules, the music you have created together still sounds so fresh and intense. Would have love a follow up to Burn the Sun, let's take a time machine and make it possible !

This record is SPECTACULAR! Ark is an unprecedented band in Prog Metal and Burn The Sun is a masterpiece of the style, the true synthesis of what the genre represents. This acoustic is exciting not only because of the recording, but because it demonstrates the genius and representation that Ark has (or should have) for Prog Metal. Listening to and seeing this record reminds me of wonderful times when I had a Prog Metal band with my best friend, Ricca Dias (we're from here in Brazil) From the bottom of my heart, thank you for posting this record! Ricca and I really appreciate it!

Alright Tore, big fan here... are we ever going to get a proper mix of the first album? Are those raw tracks sitting on ADAT somewhere?

Well, the recordings was demos, never supposed to be released, and we had to record it generation by generation to have enough tracks, as it was all done on an 8 track recorder. So first one track click, 7 tracks drums, bounced down to a stereo track. Next was stereo track drums with six tracks for guitars and bass, then another stereo track with drums, guitars and bass to add six tracks of keyboards, saxophone and other overdubs. Then the vocals was recorded in a 24 track studio some years later. Been going through some of my old tapes, but still not found these generations, but hoping that separation technology will better so it’s possible to remix that way ;)
