Here is my guide on how to perfect tame a max level Desmodus Draculae on 1x taming, took me about an hour to complete the taming process, it's a little fiddly but with perfect timing and the right gear you can tame them pretty EASY. Hope the video helps!

When i feed it a moschops the effenciency barely goes up, every time he picks it up the desmo barely gets 1% before he drops him

It was only going up about 2% for the Daeodon too but when it reaches about 70% it tends to speed up abit more, can go up to about 3% or more each time he picks them up! I personally think the Daeodon boosts efficiently a little quicker due to it being a larger creature but i'll test it and let you know!

can somebody help me out here, did they change how this worked or something? at both 1x and boosted taming rates my desmodus will only go up by .1% every time they pick up a tame bloodpacks or no. is there some unintuitive setting for this?

Really? 0.1%? Seems abit low, you haven't altered wild dino food drain or any settings like that? This one on 1x goes up by 0.3 each time but it will speed up when you get to about 70%

@@BEYPlaysGames No, wild dino stats are unchanged with my settings. 7x tame speed and i even lowered the passive tame interval from .2 to .05 and it hasnt changed whatsoever. even played around with dino and player resistances thinking it might affect it but nope.

Would intentionally have less than 10 blood packs in your inv work? So the bat wouldn’t overeat and accidentally tamed.

Maybe but also maybe not because it will just attack you and slowly Kill you if you have no bloodpacks left :D

question: i don't understand "when" it drops the deodon(or other tame)? Is it arbitrary, can you predict it? What causes it to drop the tame or you? and thanks for getting to the point of the video, unlike so many other people that just want to hear themselves talk.

No worries! I find that the Desmodus usually will bite the Daeodon around 5-8 times, normally. Or in this small cave at least, they might hold on longer in a larger cave but they're a pain to tame in a larger cave because of how much they will fly off! I think that's just how they made it. Hope that helps!

@@BEYPlaysGames one more question: if go for a low level as you suggest, lvl 50ish, would 100 blood packs just me be enough, i also have 400hp?

@@BEYPlaysGames thanks. i got a lvl 55 > 70 and only took 8 blood bags. i tamed it while i was trying to net the others, so it happened somewhat quickly. For a high level, 100%, unless i can one-shot others trying to single out a high level one, is going to be tough while getting swarmed again.

If you went to the effort of taming a low level desmo first - why wouldn't you speed up the process for the high level one by using sanguine elixer?

It's preference for different playstyles though, some people would rather get a low level first to make blood packs quicker whereas I went straight for a high level and would prefer to inject myself 100 times or so with a syringe haha. I didn't want to include using the Elixir as the video is aimed toward someone wanting to tame their first high level Desmodus, to me it doesn't make sense as a Desmodus is needed to craft it.

Hold LB and press up on the D-pad, also holding LB and down on the D-pad when aiming at a target will have creatures attack your target! Hope that makes sense!

or just get it to 70% tamed then let it bite you're deodon then use a sanguine elixir

There's a much easier way to perfect tame them. After they pick you and start the tame, shoot them with the tek pistol's healing ray for 3 seconds. For higher levels you may need to shoot them a couple more times throughout the tame. I wear a tek suit, fly right up and let them pick me. As soon as they drop me I just aim the tek pistol up and wait for them to come after me. My roommate and I have tamed at least 100 of them this week, almost every one is a perfect tame.
