UPDATE: You can tame it without this trap if you are lucky with 4 gates, but its such a pain where things can go wrong, this is still the best way. Because...You could bite a small wrong dino by mistake and it will throw you off, you have to wait for ages for the buff points to go down, then you could bite more points than 100 and it throw you off because you cannot judge how many point the dino will give you. If you don't want to get ejected and restart the phase 1 you can just wait for the bar on the left side of the hotbar to decrease. It dismounts you when this reaches 100. If you wait the first 10 will drop slowly, but after that it goes down faster.

feed 1 baby rex or spino for full friendship bar. During 2nd phase use a sanguine elixir for a quick 30%. Ride and munch til your stacks in bottom left are near 100. At 100 you’ll be kicked off. Higher health creatures give more taming, rinse and repeat. Most wilds give 0.2-0.3 per kill

Sanguine elixir should prevent the need of the 2nd stage. You have to be really close to it and ON THE GROUND. I wouldn't wait till it kicks you off cause he'll kill you before you hit the ground. Get him to 70, hop off and do the elixir while he's friendly.

Love your vids, tips and traps. The Reaper trap is gold and my go to for any pregnancy shenanigans. I have to say with this though you missed something - the trap part does NOT work. I have tried it numerous times and have seen loads of comments involving this issue. If the cachar is in a trap it will not eat. NO clue how you got it to eat. The part about health is spot on and I found rhinos to be a top notch choice. My first attempt with a friend took 40 mins and it ended up with 43% te - absolute garbage. The next one went much better and the effectiveness was at least in the 90s. GL to anyone trying to get these things.

How many tame bars would a rock drake give? I have an extra 15 lying around. Edit: Is it possible to do it without using the behemoth gates and if so, is it going to be more difficult?

Will this work in PVE? I thought that as soon as the taming process starts, the game assumes the Dino is yours and not wild making it impossible to kill tamed dinos claimed or unclaimed.

Hi Steve, I know you probably won't read this, but would you please think about finding a way for those of us on PVE to tame it? There is no way to feed it our unclaimed dinosaurs, despite the fact that when riding it it is still wild technically. Really not sure what to do unless my 10x taming server allows for a lvl 240 (server max lvl) to do it in one run of killing wilds (haven't properly tested this yet). Cheers.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! WOW BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am speechless Nooblets, the taming dynamic sucks (yeah, that's wildcard doing, the think crappy ideas are gold) but you made a magnificent job as usual. The Ark community truly owes you a lot and I mean it and specially Wildcard. Now I am motivated to try it on official, where I play. As PVE doesn't have the cryosickness debuff I guess you would have to knock it out before unclaiming it. There is a lot to try and you got me motivate it to attempt that.

Love this trap layout, way better then the 4 dino gate❤.

They will eat through stone gates, but I found that if you let it out of the trap, de-aggro and trap again, it is possible to get it to ignore the stone gates. I think it depends on the space available within the trap. I trapped it with 1 behemoth & 4 stone gates, and it always ate the trap. I rebuilt the trap with 5 dino gates, and it ignored the trap.

I like the idea of subscribers only for a short time
