The santa sloths are a cool event mob, if you feed them stacks of stuff (stone walls, etc) they poop out loot crystals that can have really good loots in em.

The gacha clause are not normal gachas. You feed them coal and other loot you get from raptorclaws and he gives you Christmas loot. Has to be those specific items though. And you cannot tame them unfortunately.

Those santa sloths are Christmas Gachas, you can only tame a Gacha by feeding it stacks of buildings, like foundations, stone or metal is better for taming efficiency but wood will do to tame it. I learned a lot about taming stuff from Syntac

You can also tame them with snow owl pellets, and feed them plant species y traps. Get a lot of meat on a snow owl and drain stam with the freeze and you'll have plenty of pellets.

Cranking the tame speed all the way up makes perfect sense. Watching a dino tame isn't exactly the most exciting content so speeding it up is better. I'd even say turn the XP up some more too.

Glock9, if you try and flank the animal, depending what side you are on, it will go the opposite direction. So, when you were taming that turtle you could've gone on its left to make it go away from the water. Just something to remember.

The sloth santa is called a gacha! You tame them passively by throwing stone or other items in front of them (wooden doors, walls, etc). Then you feed them wood and stone, i think. Occasionally they poop out resources for you, but you only get one specific type of resource.

You definitely want to take the big Santa Sloth, (Gotcha) you don't need a trap. Just drop rocks in front of it until it is yours :)

What a great Christmas surprise. I just started this map yesterday and really like it. Genesis fell really flat for me. Lost Island brought me back. I think you'll really like this one.

Looking forward to the series Glock, hope you enjoy it. It's a massive & beautiful map, lots of caves, castles, ruins & places to build. The 3 new creatures have very specific ways to tame them by the way in case you haven't looked into them. Oh and one of them really "loves" Chitin. Again, hope you have fun & enjoy!

Hey, Glock! Happy to see you back on Ark. I'm sure someone has said this...but those are Santa Gachas. You can't tame them. You give them coal or mistletoe (mistletoe =better loot) and they'll eventually pop out a crystal from their back and you open it for loot. You just throw the coal or mistletoe by their feet and they eat it that way. But u can tame a regular Gacha. Same way except you throw materials at their feet. The higher the materials, the faster the tame. Ex: flint=super low rate. Metal walls=super fast. Then, once u tame it, put materials in their inventory and they'll pop out loot crystals. That's a whole process too, not gonna write all that. Lol. Good luck!

You can't tame the GachaClaus, they are an event only dino who drop interesting drops if fed coal from RaptorClaus

I don't know if anyone has said this already but you can't tame the GachaClaus. You can only feed them coal and mistletoe from RaptorClaus drops and they'll give you crystals which you can consume for different items. Seasonal event dinos

The Santa sloths are called gotcha Claus and they are event dinos and can NOT be tamed but if you collect presents from raptor Claus at midnight every night you will get mistletoe and coal from the drops along with some ok loot, with the mistletoe and coal you can place it in the gotcha Claus inventory and wait for them to drop a crystal pick it up and open it for a nice surprise! Or you can place the mistletoe and coal in a cooking pot and craft holiday skins.

The "Santa Sloth" is called a Gacha. The non Santa version is a passive tame, the Santa version is untameable

Sloth Santa is a xmas event if I remember well you give it something to eat a drop from raptor Santa. Yeah stay up all night and wait for Santa. When you feed the sloth it will drop some crystals that when you open you get gifts . Good stuffs for early game

For a PT I recommend that you use a bola and knock out using a slingshot with rocks. Works every time for me if you don’t have tranqs. Just make sure you have enough bolas just in case it flys away.

Been awhile since I played Ark. Good to see it again. Friggin Pegos. Once I unlock turrets, I always have one set up specifically to shoot nothing but f”cking pegos and ichthy’s.😂As for favorite map, hard to pick. Aberration had the most sci-fi feeling map I feel, even if some of the ideas weren’t implemented the best. Crystal Isles is one of my favorite mod maps, though I spent awhile on Olympus the last time I played. Ragnarok had a lot of fantastic base locations, and probably could’ve been my favorite if they had kept updating it with additions from every expansion. It definitely had the room for it. Keep up the good stuff.😁 Oh yeah, keep an eye out for Raptor Claus at night if they included him again this year.😉😁😁

I have thought up a strange strategy. Surround your outer walls at base with low lvl dodos. It will tell you once it’s killed and can help indicate what threats are near your base. Possibly for killing, possibly for taming.

my first playthrough of ark was a nightmare. I spawned near the swamp and got killed by a snake within minutes. I built a small thatch house and started exploring, then got killed by a raptor. I respawned at the beach near my house and started exploring a little more, then an alpha rex came out of the jungle and started running towards me. I jumped in my house to hide, not realizing that it could just tear it's way in, which it did. Then I died. Respawned a third time VERY far away.

Glock just as a heads up you cant tame the Gacha Claus. You can get drops at night from the Raptor Claus driving the sled. There is coal and mistletoe you get from them that you can feed them, gacha, then they give you crystal off their back and get resources or xmas decorations. Take care. Good luck and have fun!

I recommend taking a mosschops and enable wander and turn the harvest settings on and it will automatically farm bushes for you and get narco Berrys mejos fiber etc .

The sloths are event dinos, so they don't tame. What you do is find something to feed to them, they then poop out crystals that have event items in them.

Glock this map is absolutely amazing, and yes it's like the island map on steroids, in my opinion one of the best maps in ark! Please do a full playthrough of this map. You'll love the unique boss!

Glock, the santa sloth or gacha is a neat tame. Crystals in back turn into materials or items and you tame by tossing items on the ground to eat. Try some stuff out and see what you discover ☺️

The sloth santa is called a gatcha you can use stone foundations to tame them you just drop em in front of it and it'll pick it up and eat it after its tamed you just feed it stone,flint,thatch,and wood.

tame a sinomacrops, basically the best shoulder mount... ever, you tame the sinos by feeding them chitin, (k-ie-tin) and they act as a parachute, glider, jetpack, backpack and small creature detergent
