They are not safe in cryos... they "update" in cryopods or during server resets. So if u get lvl 451 normal dino, dont cryo it. U can use it till server reset or you cryo it or you upload it. You still can bring it to all bossfights

Your understanding is wrong. You can keep mutating to 254 stats regardless of the counters as long as your female breeder has less than 20 mutations. The main thing you need to understand is even if mutation stop at the male end aka father's end. The mother can mutate father's stat as long the mother has less than 20. The mother I am referring to isn't the counters but the actual dino you are breeding with, the female breeder. To elaborate further. Mutation stats can be granted from BOTH mother and father, not just one of the parent. This means that even if the father has exceed 19 mutations (combined) counter. As long the mother's mutations (combined) counter not more than 19, the mutation can be granted by the mother. So a simple example, mutating melee. You got a male with 100 melee and a female with 50 melee. The male has a combined mutation counter of 100, 43 on mom side and 67 on father side. The female has a combined mutation counter of 19, 10 on mom side and 9 on father side. During mating process, the baby will have 55% chance (not 60% as shown in video) to have the better stats. Then, a mutation stat will apply AFTER that RNG. This mutation stat can come from EITHER father or mother, as long one side has less than 20. In this case, it come from mother because it has less than 20. This also means that it is possible to get DOUBLE mutations aka one from father and one from mom. However, in this case, since father already hit the limit, no mutation will ever come from him. So aka as long your female breeder is less than 20 overall mutations counter, your offspring will always have a chance to mutate.

Yes. Its just to increase eggs count = higher chance. Thats why you dont use alpha female, as she could breed only with 1 male at the time. If your server allows 0 breeding cooldown you can as well just use 1. More you use, more eggs, more chances at proper off-spring

Transfer stat to male via fresh male breed or mutator. It is easier to have wanted stat on a male, because male can mate with bunch of females at once, oposed to when u have stat on female, she can breed only with 1 male at a time.

Im saying that as long as theres no mutations on females, Maternal side will not ever got above 1/20 on an off spring. It'll keep stacking on Paternal side, while maternal side always will remain 0/20 or 1/20 (if mutation occurs there on that particular breed). Off spring mutations always follows both parents side. If you have 21/20 0/20 Father and 0/20 0/20 female and mutation occurs on female the offspring will become 21/20 1/20. Now if you breed this off spring with the same 0/20 0/20 female and it again mutates on female side the offspring will be 22/20 father (the one from female side went on father side cuz its still only Father having it) and 1/20 on female (cuz again, mutation occured here just now. You simply have to uinderstand the system behind it and that fathers summary of mutation always goes to Paternal and mother's to Maternal and since mothers are always 0/20 0/20, the most it can go to is 1/20.

No. Domesticated levels and Wild Levels are completly unrelated. You can have a 253/254+73 (or whatever is max domestiacted level on your server). Theres just a bug that if you actually reach the 255, game wont let you add more, nothing else, anything below 255 works fine.

Multiplier you are talking about is how much % domesticated levels (the ones you get while killing stuff with the dino) gives to specific stats. It has no impact on wild stats and the stats you breed for, its completly separate. And yes ofc its possible to do it with vanilla settings. Tho for Broodmother most people simply uses Megatheriums due to their buff vs Insect-type dinos.

no, you take MALE with highest DESIRED stat (you breed 1 stat per breedery, never more. You breed that one Male with as many females as you want. You aim to get an offspring that mutated your desired stat (i.e melee went from 44 to 46). Then you replace your OLD MALE with that new one, with higher stat and repeat the process until you are satisfied. Its always MALE you want. If you were unlucky to get mutation on a Female offspring, just breed her with a random male for as long as you get a MALE with that desired stat. Its explained in the video, please rewatch it few times.

when you go into their ancestry line (middle button under stats) theres list of mutation a Dino has in its breed line. Wild Dinos usually have nothing, bred dinos has its parents into. On top left and right theres mutation list that by default is 0/20 on Paternal and 0/20 on Maternal. Thats it.

No. You never breed for more than 1 stat per breedery. If you want Stamina, find a male that has the highest stat in it and build it a separate breedery. If you breed for weight, you kill everything that didnt go into weight. Adding unneccessary mutation to the pool slows down the process. Make 2 separate breederies where 1 breeds Weight, other Stamina. After you are done, inbreed the 2 to have both at once.

@@MF.FINLAY thats not really a video related question but sure, idm answering. Simply put, Dino level is a summary of wild points randomly distributed by ark system into specific stats. You can view those stats by either using a modded spyglass (available on most private servers) that exactly shows what are the points in the stats right next to them. On official its a bit trickier, you can use this site for example: www.dododex.com/stat-calculator Find a Dino, its levels, then manually input the % you see on F menu after knocking it down/opening F menu if its your tame. Trick is, if you added even a single Domesticated level (levels you add manually after taming in F menu), stats won't show properly. You also cant imprint the dino or else it wont match up.

Yes, you focus on breeding only 1 stat to the point of where you want it to be. Then you can just inbreed any other stats into this rex with a bit of effort and patience.

Yes, but did you watch and listen to everything afterwards? After 20/20 on father's side indeed not a single mutation will count. Only if it occurs on that side. By breeding 25/20 0/20 male with 0/20 0/20 female, female's mutation side will never go above 1/20. Every mutation on that side will count and increase the stat.

You would breed three pairs of those together and then rebreed the children, which will have the best of two stats. That way you're only left with 4 (one original with one best stat and three children with two best stats each). Those 4 you can combine to only 2, and that you can combine to 1 with all the best stats. Hope it was understandable. But usually it'S enough to take two or maybe three best stats and accept the othe stats being lower because they don't matter at all.

The way i inbreed stat is i take first pair i.e Melee + HP. Breed until i get offspring with best stats (easy since its only 2 stats). After that, i make that offspring Male and add 4-5 females that possess next big stat (i.e stamina) so i breed Melee+HP Male with 5 Stamina females until i get Melee+HP+Stamina. Repeat, add more females for next etc.

Level of dino is summary of all stat points. If all stat points are maxed out, it gives 1785. Technically if you add 73 domesticated levels, max max level will be 1857(not 1858 cuz one stat has to be 254 to be allowed to level up further as mentioned), unless you play private server that allows more domesticated levels than 73, then it can be even more.

@@AceFive1 No, since a level 1 dino has no points spent to it. It's not level 0. Therefore you have to add 1 to the sum of all spent stat points. But it's not like it's extremely relevant...was just a nitpick

thats pretty much what you want to do. Dont bother with other stats tho, thsese you can inbreed after your main stat is where you want it to be. You can have 255 weight and 1 in everything else, then inbreed this 255 weight into a different dino with other stats. From friends that plays on official i know that they cheese the lv450 mechanic by finding Rex that has 1 in all stats, then breeding that 1 rex to 254 melee and 120hp~~ and leave all other stats at 1 so you can have a 254+71 melee and still enjoy quite decent HP or mix it around with +40/+30 into both depends if you need that extra HP. Most creatures have no use for other stats except Melee/HP/Weight, so you should choose a main stat and substat, then leave all others at 1 to get those 2 going as far as possible.

@@AceFive1 i have one more question if the male has 20/20 mat and 20/20 pat and female has 0/20 mat and 0/20 pat can you still get mutations when you breed? im a little stuck now because i had a male offspring with 1/20 on maternal side? and i wonder if everything must be paternal on the male in order for infinite mutations. thanks in advance

@@kerkvlerk4720 all of your mutation will always land on paternal side anyway. If you have an anky thats 20/20 pat and 20/20 mat and you breed it with 0/20 0/20 female, your offspring will be 40/20 0/20. Once you hit 20/20 on Pat side tho, only maternal side mutations will count so you must be sure that female you breed with is lower than 20/20 (summarized, preferably use 0/20 0/20 females, that way your maternal will never go above 1/20).

Like i said, mutations are taken from Parents and slapped on Maternity and Paternity. Your dino that was born with 20/20 father and 1/20 mother will now breed with 0/20 0/20 female. Offspring of this couple will have summed up mutations of parents. Knowing that, offspring has 20/20 + 1/20 of father = 21/20 and 0/20+0/20 from mother = 0/20. If mutation occured on mother's side again, your dino is now 21/20 1/20. This will repeat forever, as long as you use 0/20 0/20 females, the only side that will increase in mutations will be Father's side as only Father has any mutations in this couple. Hope its understandable.

That is not much of an issue since in most cases mutator allows you to swap gender or you can just keep breeding a female offspring with random 0/20 0/20 male until you get a male with the proper main stat.

Try to breed untill you have the exact same male and female (statwise) so its easyer to follow up what your doing. So if you have a male rex with 40 health and a female rex with 40 melee, breed until you have a male melee and female with identical stats and then start with the mutation process.

Nope, sadly not. Just breed a shit ton of dino's. I'm on ps4 as well. It sometimes takes me 100+ breeding sessions to get melee mutation. My advice is, just trade for a breeding pair with good mutation with someone. It will save you hours of time and effort

unfortunetly no. Just breeding normally and deal with another insane RNG number (7% chance for offspring to mutate naturally). Terrible job, i suggest using like, 100 females and maybe you'll get a right mutation every 5-6 breeds.

To find out what is the Wild Stat point you either need a Spyglass mod that displays it or you can take a clean, not leveled/not imprinted dinos and input his stats here: www.dododex.com/stat-calculator and you'll know how much of points it has.

@@kerkvlerk4720 i dont agree with ark smart breeding being anyhow useful. You can get all the stat values of your dino simply by inputing them on dododex/ark fandom site and it'll give you a hard wild level numbers. By these numbers its easy to deduct what stats are highest and which dino to use as Alpha (ofc you cant have imprint and any levels added to get proper amounts of %). I've tried this smart breeding thingy and on unofficial its 100% worthless due to spyglass modes, on official its just as much of a pain as using those 2 sites i listed above.

You can do it via any modded spyglass or if you play Vanilla then you can input raw, BASE stats (cant be imprinted) to: www.dododex.com/stat-calculator and you'll get the wild point numbers.

@@Nka19 That means that your females arent 0/20 0/20. If you get big numbers on Maternal Side it means you are using females with a lot of mutations and it stockpiles on their side. Technically it doesnt matter past 20/20, but you should be using a clean 0/20 0/20 females, Alpha Male doesnt matter at all, can be 4000/20 5000/20 for all you care.

@@AceFive1 Oh i do, I got around 50 of them boxed 😁 And S+ hatcheries next to it to collect the eggs. But from 500 eggs or more i always got 1/20 - 20/20 from breeding 0/20 - 20/20 with all my clean females. What i did for now was, i got a female 1/20 20/20 and breed it with my clean male with 0/20 0/20 and it turned to 21/20 0/20 🤣

@@Nka19 you make it a lot more complicated than you should. Simply find a Male with a stat you want to breed, put it together with as many 0/20 0/20 females as you can and follow the process on vid. 0/20 0/20 females, nothing else

@@AceFive1 Think you understood wrong, i did that last process only today as a work around to get the stat over 20/20, until now i only breed for males, saved my world before i threw eggs in case i get female with what i need so i could reload and throw again until male poped up. Saves time.

Then re-watch the guide for as long as it needs to click. Mutation adds +2 to a random stat based on what was inherited. If your offspring inherits Male stat (50) and mutates in that weight stat, it'll be 52. If your offspring inhreits Female stat (36) and it mutates, it'll be 38, but you dont care about that as this offspring is crossed out for losing first RNG which is a chance to get higher stat (male's in this case). For a good offspring all numbers have to allign. You need to get the higher stat (male's one), then it needs to mutate that particular stat (1 out of 7 chance) and if its above 20/20 you also need to win a 50/50 chance that it mutates on female side (its random and doesnt matter, male stat can be increased even if female side mutated, which side mutated has no relation to inhrited stat). I've explained it in the vid, looks like you didnt pay close enough attention.

@@AceFive1 I watched the video multiple times the problem I have is I have seen so many videos with people who have differing opinions that I am just confused. Watching the video again my plan is to have my Male breeder and 40 unmutated females. I will mass breed, eliminate all the females and males that are not better than the male. Do not replace the females in the breeding pool with better females with mutations and simply keep breeding over and over with the 40 zero mutation females and hope RNG blesses me with mutations in weight. The people on the server I play on insist that you never level up the breeding male and the females he is breeding with, you just leave those points unspent. From your video that doesn't seem like it makes a difference.

@@CRAZYHORSE19682003 Yes, what you just said is a proper way to do it. The reasoning behind not leveling or imprinting those is that official servers or unofficials without any Spyglass mod/other mods that can show you "wild points" have it ruined if you level them up. If you paste down raw stats of a newborn that wasnt leveled into a calculator on sites like dododex or ark wiki, it'll tell you how many actual wild points (the ones i talk about in vid) your dino has. Servers with an actual spyglass mod that shows you directly wild and domesticated levels doesnt have to care about that

@@AceFive1 Cool, the server I play on has that telescope mod and I was trying to tell them that leveling the tames does not matter because we will always know what their original stats are. However, I have only been playing ARK for about 2 weeks so I was told to STFU and I had no idea what I was talking about.

I personally dont play the game anymore, but a lot of systems are way simpler than people makes them to be by pouring way too much info than needed to convert. You can't tell beforehand, you compare the stats with the father and check for increases.

Like i said, level of females has no meaning at all, they can be level 5 for all you care.

Cuz all mutations stacks up on małe side, if you use females with mutations you'll make your life harder because you'll reach 20/20 faster than you would with 0/20 female.

Why would they have to be? I said that females can be level 10 Rexes with every stat at 2. Once you FINISH breeding the stat you wanted, you can inbreed this stat into any other rex you have (some perfect tame with other stats you want). Level and stats of females doesnt matter. Its always about Alpha Male. Its his stat that has to carry over and mutate.

If on both sides, then that means whoever bred them had no idea what he was doing.

You breed them together, 60% chance go get the better one of each stat. You use 0/20 (or less than 20) females to enable more (new) mutations. But already achieved mutations does not disappear, so you can breed them to get a super-dinos with maybe 40/20 64/20 or similar :)

Yes, exactly the same way, tho you add a lot of suffering to it. This guide covers the RNG you have to deal with when you have 100% guarenteed mutation, without it, not only you still need to deal with all what i showcased here, you also have to take to account that your offspring has 7% chance to mutate to begin with.

@@utubeq4822 Yes, thats the process. If you want to breed more than 1 stat, split breederies to always have 1 Male / 20-30 females for 1 stat, then again 1 male / 20-30 females for another etc.

yup, i definitely do not understand that even tho thats the whole point of the video B). If i'm gonna add even more confusion about what females to use, people will understand even less. This is a guide HOW TO BEGIN, if you start with a clean 0/20 0/20 Alpha Male, if you dont use 0/20 0/20 females you'll cut your first 20 mutations short and enter just-female side mutation way too fast, extending the process. Appreciate the input, but next time listen more carefully.
