Heres an underrated tame not only for land but aquatic: sarco they are VERY fast in water, have no oxygen meter, pretty tough when kitted for health, good damage, and stamina regen in water is almost instant. And it's a pretty easy tame just keep it on land

Baryonyx is better than sarco in most ways its more worth it and you can stun things underwater

Ragnarok is designed so that you can get over most of the map on foot or on a ground dino. The beached whales are on the other side of the bay and along the northern coast. Parts of the snow biome are murder murder snow and you cant survive there even in ascendant armor with the best stats. You can however find Ice Wyvern nests there. Enjoying this series!

2:10 An eagle has a weight reduction on metal and other precious ores while the griffin doesn’t carry as much, but is crazy on speed. It has a dive bomb that makes you go crazy fast, which is essential to exploring Ragnorok.

So much fun; thanks for reminding me why I love this game so much: *There is crystal on the land bridge 30 feet from your house. *There are oil rocks in the bay right near you house. *The prez bin is just a box without oil and spark powder. *Need more fortitude - you were freezing in the snow biom next your your house, but that isn't even the Murder, Murder Snow or the Southern Desert.

If you’re looking for oil, there is a small “cave” entrance near that snow where you found the T. rex, and it’s filled with oil rocks, crystal, and penguins to murder for polymer. Watch out though, because the place is filled with bears, and without fur armour you’ll freeze fairly quickly, so just grab some and go. And for the beaches whales, they only spawn in the highlands area (northeastern part of the map) from what I know. And there are people saying to get oil from the nodes on the bay you live next to, but I don’t recommend that, because the lobsters that live there deal 100 torpor per hit I think, and will rip you to shreds.

The beached wales start where the volcano meets the highlands at the top right of the map. Closer oil is in the bay water where your house is, closer to where the arch over the water is and a lot of the rocks around the snow lake are oil (disguised by snow fall). There are also tons of the lobster/scorpions in the bay next to a ship wreckage (look for a wall lying on a rock in the center). The Argy is a far better option for resource gathering then a Griffen, more weight and get a weight reduction on many materials.

@@melkorthefallen7580 the other stats are just so much more valuable. Fortitude basically helps offset both these stats as well as provide more survivability in the extremes and cooked meat / canteens make these stat's pretty much irrelevant.

@@melkorthefallen7580 I could probably write a dissertation on why that's inefficient, but that wouldn't make it wrong to do. It's all about playing the game and enjoying the experience. Not the way I would choose to play it, but as long as you're enjoying it I can't say you're doing anything wrong.

@@Rivalmarcochu- there are beached primitive whales and Ichthyosauruses (iirc) on the beach. you should be able to find their locations by searching on Google. they give you raw meat and rotten meat, probably hide and oil too

I've been playing Ark for only about a year, and your content is amazing. You should be doing this series full time! As for carrying, Argy is the pickup truck of the skies. The griffin is faster, more nimble and can carry 2 riders. But it will not have the weight (or weight reduction) to carry your supplies/resources. That said, get both!

Pretty sure there are Explorer Notes on Rag, they're just spread out because the map is so big. Also there is one part of the Snow Biome that always gives you an Ice Cube no matter what.

There is oil in the bay strait out your door, Get an Otter ASAP pump the Melee points, they keep you warm and the Murder Snow is no joke.

In the engram learning window on the top right corner there are icons which toggle show/hide engram from specific map. Ragnarok allow you to learn all stuff from scorch earth which include cool stuff like flaming arrow, boomerang and the chainsaw.

If you want the lobsters, breed up a couple frogs and descend to the sunken ship in Viking Bay. That whole area is crawling with 'em, and frogs do extra damage against them. Just make sure to up their weight because you'll get tons of black pearls and they are real heavy. You don't want to be encumbered underwater!

Right below the mountain top (behind you) where you made the first stop on your flight are a cave that you can fly into, no creatures just stone some metal and some crystal. I've used that cave for base building more than once. Also, when your dinos are rather freshly tamed, kill some fish. Gives plenty of fast XP and there's usually a lot of fish. Works well with pretty much any mount.

Cool video again. :D There's oil right in the bay on your doorstep, but alot of nasty stuff swimming around there. I'd get a Baryonyx of you want to go into the water (there's usually one around that little lake with the ruin where you found your first crystal). If you want something on land that's faster, an Iguanodon is great. Good at collecting berries too. It also doesn't loose stamina when running on 4 legs.

There's oil nodes in the shallow-ish water just outside your door, There's also silica pearls down in a little underwater cave around the same area all in viking bay. Plus there are obsidian rocks on the cliffs just behind your base too

Loving the series, I suggest finding an iguanodon. Great for collecting berries, fiber and thatch plus they can run on all fours at high speeds without using stamina. They can fight when moving on only their hind legs and they have decent carry capacity

There was oil off the coast on the Island as well, frogs are handy for that and they are easy to tame once you have an argy. You can make oil pumps later which you can put on oily patches in the snow biome. ps Argys can pick up larger dino's than Gryphons.

go with your pteranodon to the highlands - right upper corner of the map - there you can find breeched whales and can harvest them with metal tools and you'll have no problem with keratin, spoiled meat and i think oil too. you can get on the left lower part of the map around 80-90 10-20 there are some islands where you could find thylas, or you can hit up to the redwoods - that is at the next to the highlands right upper to mid side of the map. A tip... if you jump off your mount before it hits the ground as you fall down, it will not take fall dmg at all. Argies - Eagles reduce weight of a lot of resources the griffin dose not...

If you head to the north east coast, to harvest the dead whales for oil, that part of the map is called the highlands, and it's one of the best places to get sheep for their pelt and mutton. just be careful of the occasional allosaur pack or giga spawn . also stay away from the volcano, that side of it is where the Wyvern trench is, and they will definitely murder your face.

Glock, you can craft an argy trap with 1 frame, 1 double door frame, 1 door frame, 1 door, 2 railing and 1 hatch frame. All stone. Lay foundation Lay double doorframe on frame Lay doorframe on top of double doorframe Lay hatchframe on top of doorframe Attach railings in an "L" shape to top of double doorframe to enclose the frame and create a corridor of sorts Finish by placing door Lure argy into trap by running straight through and open the door to trap it. P.s thylas are my favorite and found in redwoods

There are some dead whales at the shore in the highlands that give a lot of oil and they respawn so you can go back there later. They only spawn there as far as I know. There is also a wyverns nest near there where all the volcanic rocks are and you can harvest the black trees for coal and kill all the bugs and insects for chitin.

Best place for crystal is in the water canyons. Go to the tower with a pool in the top and go for a dive. You can park your bird on top.

Love your videos, on the stone arch next to your base there is a little bit of obsidian and crystal, above the frozen lake where you saw the T-rex is 3 oil rocks a little past the cave. Get some fur gear and craft some oil pumps and you'll never want for oil again

For oil follow the coast round past the volcano and look on the beaches for dead whales, there's also oil rocks in a cave in the snow above Viking Bay, once you have the fabby made you can make oil pumps and there's a few nodes in the snow near to where the cave is Get an argent for carrying stuff, they have good weight reduction for a lot of mats while griffins are more for getting around quickly and killing shit with the dive bomb attack

Just so you know, that body of water where you saw the megalodon is also an excellent source of oil rocks. Underwater you can see globs of oil rising from them like beacons, making them relatively easy to find.

Griffins are amazing. Not as fast as dragons, but the maneuverability is more than worth the tradeoff, and you can still use weapons while mounted. I do most of my taming in Crystal Isles from griffin back. Their carry weight is pretty good, but not quite as good as an eagle.

If you go east towards the direction of that castle at the hill you will get to the highlands which is a large green area and if you go to the beach there are usually lots of beached whales which give you oil and spoiled meat.

At 24:58 in the direction you're looking there is an oil rock in the bay underwater. There are also a few more underwater in the other end of the bay near where the sunken ship is

The argen "eagle" get a weight reduction to the heavier things like obsidian, metal, crystal... they also have a higher base weight stat than the Griffin. 3 dino gates,1 door, 1 foundation and 2 pillars is all the easiest argen trap takes to build. Keep doing what you do your fun to watch.

Glock were you took a screenshot. I’m pretty sure directly behind you there’s like the ravine type thing. You could build two doors on each side end it makes for a good face and I think you can put another small door in the middle of it where it goes out. And just build the base on the end to where you were over looking for your fabricator And other stuff. There’s rock and I think metal in that ravine as well. It works out really good for a base

Playing on the Ragnarok map will give you access to Scorched Earth’s engrams which are quite useful. Love the content Glock keep it coming 👍🏼

Just a tip. Unmounted creatures take no fall damage. So if you're in a situation where you need to fall off, jump off the creature to save your mount. Of course, the closer to the ground before you do it, will also save yourself some damage as well. Or keep a parachute in slot 1, as I do when I play on Ragnarok

Oil nodes in water right next to you in the bay, as well as all thr "lobsters" you could want, there is also a number of silica pearls in the bay as well

also on the the north highlands on the beach the are carcasses that you can harvest for spoilt meat, oil and hide there is about 4 or 5 of them if that helps you at all keep up the good work GLOCK

Beached whales can be found on the section of beaches along the east of where you are. Usually where i see my first spawn in. Past the volcano iirc

the snow will kill you quick, its called the murder murder snow lol also you want a argie for farming a griff is speed bird the argie gets a weight reduction for most raw resources and has much better weight. love the vids

You will find beached whales in the Highlands; which is the top right corner of your map. There's a lighthouse there, landmark so you know you're in the right area. You can also find carrots and potatoes in that region.... But it is also a Giga spawn area 🥺 Probably the most common Giga infested area of the map. Proceed with caution 😂

oil rocks are always in snow biomes or underwater...in every map! the beached wales youre talking from are on the highland beaches in the northeast of the map.

there is oil in snow biom just past where the t-rex was just in front of a snow cave and just up from snow cave can put in oil pumps. also go past castle follow the water you will find three water falls caves behind them good spot for a base.

The eagle is beat for being the work horse because it has the weight Stat but also gets reduced weight on certain things in its inventory....Griffin is a must on Ragnarok alot of fun...think of the eagle as a work truck griffin as ir sport car love the ark series

there is crystal right above your base on that rock bridge and if you face the hill you went up from your base stay to the right side lower than you flew and there is more crystal than you will ever need or be able to carry. lulz, and there is oil in the water very close to your base just a bit deeper than you saw the shark, but still able to get without breathing help...

Across the bay where you built level up outpost, up the hill to the right os a large metal crop. Beware the rexs that may drop down tho 😂

Oil - up where you saw that T-Rex in the snow there is an ice cave just east of there on the same elevation, lots of oil rocks and bears inside.

on the eastside past the masa type ravines with all the water below (spinos down there btw) there is a mini redwood biome . close to that i think is where you seen that Trex to the east, there is a small cave that goes through to other side . its not a dungeon just a cave . there is oil rocks on the outside of it and inside. there are bears in it so watch out, along with other deadly stuff . i know there are those dead whales along the south beach somewhere . and incase i forgot those flowers you see you can pick them or you need a sickle , but they give you veggies and the blue one give you wildflowers if i remember right. one of them is carrots . one is mushrooms i think. its been a while lol. to the west where you seen that T rex there is a dungeon cave that you can fly in with 4 loot crates on the first part of it BUT there are high level bears in there as in untameable bears , level 300 . a wyvern is best to take in there , kill bears then loot. for the snow biome and under water caves you will NEED serious gear. master work level type stuff even then you will still need to watch your HP/ O2 . you will need to level your O2 and several scuba tanks , i recommend a Whale dino because the jellyfish wont stun them , a Berryonix the very least because they can stun jellies and are fast. of and craft some special food to increase your air or cold resist whichever you are doing. Griffons are a pain to tame because they hardly ever land . they fly low a lot though. you should be able to make a trap that your Ptra can fly through but Griffons cant , park your Ptra on other side then run around and close the gate. i think i used pillars to do it. i had the S+ mod though too. good vid

You can also just stay away from them bears and not aggro them. And there is no good reason to level O2

***OIL!!!*** just walk out your door Glock9. walk out your door, head straight down to the water and keep on walking! (i would recommend making a raft) there are a BUNCH of oil rocks under the water just out from your base.

Hey mate, With the sun in ya eyes drama, go into settings and turn off 'light bloom', that way ya dont get blinded when flying towards the sun. There's also an option to turn off 'light shafts' if ya want, but i reckon they look pretty dope through the trees. Kinda adds to the emersion. Keep up the wicked vids bro. Rock on \m/

@Glock9 u can reach almost every spot on foot. I played the survival plus mod on Ragnarok and used an equus(horse) to get from one end of the map to the other!

There are crates at the Blue Ob and there is a Viking Ship in the lagoon in front of your place. It has a chest and some boxes. Beware of the sea scorpions.

Plan: Step 1. Get argentavis Step 2. Fly it to SW corner of map Step 3. Pick up thyla and drop Into a trap Step4. Tame it and rule all of ragnarok. Seriously you NEED a thyla in your life. Fly across the bay and follow the north coast line to find the whales. Go up to those ruins and follow to where the water falls into pirate cave. Go to bottom and tame an otter in there. Super insulation. Pump their melee for better insulation value.

Also up in the snow biome you can find the oil rocks but you have to go up in the snow area above the bay where you're at there is a cave they're a bunch of bears in the cave but you also find the oil rocks inside that cave it will be underneath the lake at the top of that mountain

If you unmount right before you hit the ground you and your Dino won’t take damage. Really useful on a map like Ragnorok
