Arkansas Cop Shocks Crowd When He Drums With High School Football Band

Corporal Les Munn, an officer with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, hadn't played the drums in 23 years but that didn't stop him from joining in when a high school band performed at a football game. During the fourth quarter, he went up into the stands and got to work, shocking everyone in the crowd. Video shows his impressive performance. Now he has earned himself a spot on the drum line for next season. #InsideEdition

Sheenz Well, it is a public comment so I can comment on it. He should deserve a raise because he has shown he goes above and beyond the line of duty. He didn’t have to do that - he did it because of his love for the community.

Omg I was in a Marching band and we were getting ready for a parade and one of our local cops just grabbed a drum set and started jamming with our warm ups!! It was AMAZING!!!!!

@SmartGD I know this is an old comment but you can tell by the girl’s uniform it has a top jacket and beneath that the uniform pep bands wouldn’t spend money on uniforms like that if they weren’t a marching band.

I remember when my high school used to play hey baby at football games and instead of saying hey baby we said hey porter cause it was our band directors last name. This we were the good times so many memories back then.

My son used to ride with Officer Munn when he was going through a program through the police department as a teenager and Officer Munn was our backup drummer at church around the same time my son was in the the program.

Our school officer, officer Fry, if I recall correctly, would often hang out with us kids, play basketball and even sumo wrestler kids in center court. Growing up, I always thought this was the cool norm from officers. Shocked to know we had a special one amongst us!
