What is ASMR?
To me, ASMR is 2 things: a sensation and a medium (like music for example).
The sensation itself (ASMR) stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention. It's like goosebumps, but much more pleasant.
ASMR videos, the medium, are not only meant to help induce the sensation or "tingles" in the viewer, but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer. They often help those dealing with anxiety, stress, headaches, insomnia, mental health issues, concentrating, studying and more. It is quite therapeutic, for both the creator and recipient, which is not that much different than the mediums of music and painting, for example.
Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect.

this is a prequel to the kindnapping video... he used weird magic to put you to sleep then when you woke up later he said he used chloroform to try and cover it up, the happy place he then sends you to is the arkham sanitarium. this guy isnt an antique dealer at all he is a guy who delivers test subjects to Professor Clemmons. thats why he knows how many people have vanished without a trace and why he doesnt seem too bothered about it. they were all people who visited his shop.

This is the first ever video of yours I have watched. My usual ASMRers weren't giving me tingles so I was searching around for someone new to watch to give me a little break and the title of this video caught my eye. I don't know how successful it might be, but I'd love a video made up of stories about Arkham and Innsmuth as told by a resident. The denial/glossing over of strange events by the shop owner in this video gave me a great combination of laughs and tingles.

hey rift! I know it doesn't matter but if you ever decide to use that CBRN mask or biomask as you call it, that straw is actually for drinking out of. It is an adaptor for a specific kind of canteen. On the inside of the mask where your mouth fits into there should be the other end of the straw, folded down into the rubber seal. Its to make sure you're drinking an uncontaminated water supply. The gas mask hose is a drinking tube. The filters aren’t on the mask itself because the charcoal filters that are used in the military only last 8 hours after they are removed from the sealed container they are in. If there was a filter on it it would be rendered useless after any amount of substantial time. The hood of course is a hood that drapes over the rest of the hazard uniform which would be a suit.
