In acol's previous videos of these, the off season was between cc4 and cc5. Now knowing cc will go taking a hiatus for periods of time. he put it at the end of video as an end credits scene where we reflect on what had gone down since beta. It's a lovely touch in, i legit cried despite cc is not ending. The transition between lobby and battle themes is bonkers especially cc3. Bro, sick transition. I lowkey like the transition between cc8 battle theme and cc9 lobby theme. It caught off guard. The clips used are on point. As for cc12, is just acol's magic worked in motion. I can imagine Red shows up similar to how Vergil is. In the battle theme, the clip of puss meet death once again is the how we would see Red when he entered the battlefield lol

Holy shit, Basepoint is fucking *EPIC* . It's like the best parts of Pyrite and Pine Soot. I loved the Anton Ego bringing us back through all the CCs we've had over the years. Glad the last one will be a high note. And then the sad feels with Off-Season... Anyway, looks like this is gonna be the final ranking for me: Lobby themes #1- Pyrite, Dawnseeker, and now Basepoint all top the list. I literally cannot choose which one I like best. #2- Spectrum, Pine Soot and Deepness (which seriously grew on me during the event). #3- Blade and Fake Waves (which also grew on me, but not as strongly as Deepness did). #4- Barrenland, Lead Seal, and Wild Scales. #5- Off-Season and Ashring. Off-Season makes me emotional (especially with these visuals), but it's not really energetic. Ashring on the other hand is very "middle-of-the-road". The lyrics are okay, but the melody isn't my cup of tea. #6- And of course, Cinder will forever be the bottom of the list for "wtf is this, it doesn't belong in this event, get it away from me, oh this part is kinda nice, BUT I STILL HATE IT". Battle Themes #1- Barrenland, Ashring, Fake Waves, Basepoint. A lot of #1's here, Barrenland really did start them out as one of the best. And at least Ashring has a way better battle theme than its lobby song. Basepoint totally dominates on both accounts. Strong finish. #2- Spectrum, Dawnseeker Then it gets a lot harder to parse the rest, they all kinda rank as "equally good" to me, but I'll try to sort them out... #3- Blade, Cinder, Deepness. I will say that Cinder is another CC whose battle theme is a lot better than its lobby theme. However there's something odd I noticed- Cinder's battle theme doesn't actually start until the 7:05 mark. I have no idea what that other music is from. I like it MORE than the official battle theme, but it wasn't in the game [shrug]. #4- Pyrite, Lead Seal, Wild Scales, Pine Soot. I don't hate any of these, and they're not bad; they're all just the ones I like the least. All in all, than you, AcoL for making these. It's sad that Contingency Contract is ending soon, but we'll always have the music, and the memories. 🤘

This truly is an amazing video. Acol's nailed the vibes of every song and has even done so from multiple perspectives and interpretations. The off-season is the perfect example; for some it's a theme of rest, or of sorrow, or of victory, or of departure. Or it's a mix of all four, and the clips fit all of them.

7 months passed since this video published, and i'm just more and more realising how good and beautiful was the decision to put off-season theme as last in this video, it starts to sound more tragedic
